Pet hates when travelling

Pet hates when travelling?
Just a thought, most people know some of mine :D

What are other people's pet hates that really wind them up?
Not the hotel's wardrobe door that falls off or the bag that goes
RTW before you get it back or the rats in the room, but the even
smaller things that really p*ss you off - other than kids in the seat
behind of course which we'll take as read.

I had a classic on my way home from Genoa last week.

Paid for priority boarding on Ryan air, the flight was half empty, rows 1 and 2 were for priority, everyone else was sent to the back. There were 2 people in 1 A & C, 2 in 2 A&C and me in 2D. Some bint had sat in the blocked off seats so they told her to move, so she sat right next to me, not even in the window seat, but right next to me. Why would anyone do that? Why would they sit as close as they can to a stranger when there were enough empty seats to leave a seat between us?

Please people, don't crowd when it's not necessary, we all like our personal space.

I was parking in a near empty car park once, one other car - Mrs Bob the Saver. We'd met early after work to go the the Theatre.
I had my car open to muck it out, you know the crisp packets etc.
whilst there was a bin handy.
Some pil*ock tried to park next to me and pipped her horn when I wouldn't close my car door. There must have been 200 other spaces!!! You can guess my reaction

Top one is probably people who hold up the queue at security by not preparing their things until they get right to the front, or by being stopped for a search because they can't follow the instructions.
Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning

People who don't know how to queue and respect personal space (commonly known as "The French"). The number of times I have been waiting as next in line but keeping a respectful distance from the person being served only for someone else to nip in in front of me. (Of course being British my usual response if a tut and a hard stare). Then when I'm being served there is someone hanging over my shoulder. Get back!

    Hotels:
    - no free electric sockets. We all travel with gadgets these days that need recharging. I've often had to unplug the TV or fridge in order to charge my phone
    - dingy lighting. Get some brighter bulbs!
    - Complex TVs. I just want BBC1, not go through 10 levels of menus for movies, room service or tourist information.

    On the plane

When boarding the people who block the aisle whilst putting things in the overhead lockers, don't they realise you can stand in the the space in front of the seats and still reach the lockers
The people who don't know how to sit down they just drop into their seats without any consideration for the people behind who may be eating their meal or having a drink

Yes, but you find some very 'educational' channels sometimes :p

Those stupid hangers in the wardrobe, that don't have a proper hooked top, just a spike thing that slides into the fixed rail fittings. Means you can't rinse a few clothes through and hang them over the bath or in the shower to dry. Also there's never enough hangers anyway.

Double rooms that only supply one easy chair. Someone always has to perch uncomfortably on the bed when you're both watching TV.

Bedside lamps that are barely bright enough to find your way into bed by, never mind read.

Hairdryers that you have to keep the switch depressed while using. I know this is a safety thing so it isn't left on and starts a fire, but it doesn't half make blow drying fiddly.

Other residents who come to their rooms at about 3.00 a.m. shouting and laughing .
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Bedrooms without a socket close enough to the bed for my CPAP mask.

PS. When I had a pet, whether travelling or not, he really hated having things shoved up his bottom. :)
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)
