asking....Totally agree with Soolin's post, apart from a biopsy being quite painless via the mouth! Maybe it is painless if your Hospital offers decent sedation, mine didn't and if I have to repeat the test I wouldn't do it without a GA, it was horiffic I had a very bad experience, made worse by a problem only discovered during the test!0

i go into holland and barrett who have tests to be able to help people and they know less than i do most of the time or dont know the research i have done if that is any comfort and wheat is a really bad for you . if you google it you will see was introduced by egyptians/romans and they never looked into long term consequence of it. it damages the vili but does other harm. i have no pains at all nowadays you would not believe the renewed energy i get! Also, can I apologise if i seemed to be un neccessarily harsh at all on this thread. I am not an elitist- I don't want to keep coeliac to myself- but this is a hard life sometimes and it is made worse by every celeb going gluten free and all the nonsense on the internet about 'bad' wheat and 'good wheat and I get frustrated tha people with different illnesses may get the wrong advice because they don't ask the medics and instead rely on what someone told them their aunties best friend did once that made her well.
There are no symptoms of coeliac that every coeliac gets, and in many cases the symptons can be of a completely different illness or condition that is masked by blindly believing you are coeliac and merely need to avoid gluten.
I still get told frequently that spelt is fine for me as the internet says it is a good wheat (no it isn't), I was even told by a health food shop once that coeliac is a myth and that it is the pesticides we are allergic to so there is no harm at all in me eating gluten as long as I stick to organic - hmmm0 -
"I had a blood test but it was inconclusive due to other issues I have with my blood. They originally thought it was gallstones or liver issues and my liver did prove to be damaged and I am not a drinker."
my other half has/had exactly the same issue as you ! with liver etc. since gluten free which i decided to put him on his liver is no longer painful!!!! but he is worried to have a biopsy. on the mri scan nothing shows up . he has blood issues too but his body attacking itself but he has been on wheat free/gluten free now for 2 months and already better but it does damage the body terribly so not sure if you ever get the same body back. he has been sufferign wtih pains for a very very very long time. from youth.and was always in moods but could be linked to all this too!!!I had a blood test but it was inconclusive due to other issues I have with my blood. They originally thought it was gallstones or liver issues and my liver did prove to be damaged and I am not a drinker.
They then decided to biopsy, almost as a last resort and found no villi present in the biopsy.
My youngest son was poorly as a young child so they tested him for coeliac and again the blood test was not conclusive. He was 7 when he had his biopsy but thank heavens it was negative and it meant they could look for other reasons why he was ill rather than me blindly treat him as a coeliac.
Interestingly coeliac gets a mention in the Daily mail today

Just to muddy the water adn being mindful of the 'no medical info' rule- the reason I have had so many biopsies at different hospitals was that going gluten free made me seriously ill.
None of the consultants could understand why I was well on a normal diet, but became chronically ill as soon as I went gluten free.
So the tests were repeated over and over again on different trials but in the end the dangers of me eating gluten outweighed the dangers of my other issues and i am now gluten free. Also now if I do eat gluten I am ill, just like a normal coeliac as my body has become used to not eating it.
One also must not forget that a body can be trained not to eat something, so a veggie suddenly eating meat after a period of years would suffer discomfort. I believe it is the same for all exclusion diets.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. My son could not put on weight, he was pale and small and suffered repeated stomach issues.
After it was shown he was not a coeliac they did other tests and found a bacterium in his gut which they treated with antiobiotics. It took a couple of years with monitoring his weight and height, and at no point at all did he go gluten free.
he is now a strong healthy 21 year old a smidgen under 6ft tall and light for his age but 100% healthy
EDIT' Interestingly, he spent last summer volunteering in Africa and eating the local foods and he was one of only 2 in his party that had no stomach issues at all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Holland and Barrett is a retail store, who are there to make a profit. I know the staff now receive training through their Natural Health Academy training but they are only learning about what they sell, and I'm not convinced this is a good thing. You can not compare this to a nutritionist or dietitian who have completed degree courses and will have an understanding of diet and the effects on the body based on scientific evidence0 -

The overall point to the OP seems to be that you should ask for a referral to a specialist and undergo a proper range of tests before listening to internet warriors with an axe to grind about 'traditional' medicine. You are not medically qualified, and self-diagnosis can be incredibly dangerous.
There is no scientific evidence to support the blood type diet whatsoever. It has been repeatedly debunked as a fad exclusion diet. Gillian McKeith has been rightly denounced as a fraud and just for good measure Dr Atkins died fat with a heart condition.
While it might be more convenient to have gluten-free pasta and bread to hand, these are choices until you have a formal diagnosis. Learn to make your own foods, or learn to work with doctors rather than telling them you know better. You don't. You really, really don't.
I wish you nothing but good healthSome days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
