We have also found Bazooka to be ineffective, even the super strength one.

Can recommend the over the counter 'freezing method' treatments though. They cost about £15, but have only required a single treatment on the handful of occasions we have needed them. I think the price is outrageous, but so worth it for the convenience of being gone after a single application.

Hi, duct tape worked on my daughters huge painful verruca - but we had to tape the duct tape on with micropore tape to get it to stay stuck - it worked within about 10days though.

It took about 4 months using bazooka for my dd's verrucas to go, that was putting it on every night and filing it regularly.
When I was younger, a holiday sorted mine out, walking in the sand lifted it away!

I went to a Podiatrist. It was not overly expensive and was solved in a couple of visits.

I am diabetic so would not self treat and wanted a gauranteed solution. They have not returned.

Tried about every home treatment and remedy on mine, finally they went after I gave up trying - took about 7 years from their first appearance!

I did go to the doctor and they explained that they don't like to treat them any more as the freezing/cutting them out can leave scar tissue which can cause more pain than the verucca itself. So he said, anyway!

I used Lemon oil on my son's a few years ago when he had one, it seemed to work as the verruca went.

My DD had a cluster under her toe that was as big as adults thumbnail _pale_ we used the lemon oil and duct tape and it went after a week/10 days. Surprisingly painless for her as well

How does the duct tape work?!

    Might try this with dd...
  • Thanks every one,wow 2 pages of comments already!
I'm interested in the duct tape one I have heard this works quite well as it cuts off the air and oxygen to the verrucca so it just dies.

    Also the lemon juice one!

Now you mention it I have seen behind the counter a home freezing treatment.

I think I will ask at the docs-we are going today anyway about something else-about a wart clinic and see if the chemist can recommend anything.
Il let u know what happens!
