I had mine for over 18mths I had no idea what it was but it was so bloody painful!

I put some aleo vera on it and it went away in a few days. I really wish I had known what it was at the time but luckily I have never had another.

I feel for your DD poor thing!

Take her to the docs - they might be able to prescribe something a bit stronger than the OTC stuff :)

I had two medium sized verrucas under my toes when I was younger. Strangely mine dried up and "came up" after I had a hot bath with loads of Radox powder in it  All I had to do a few days later was pick them off my foot.

Don't the GP's do the wart clinics any more? A few years back I had mine frozen off at the doctors. Very quick and easy.

I have verruca's that are extremely painful to walk on. I have tried twice at the doctors but they will not do anything. They say they can't, they are not allowed to prescribe as there are over the counter treatments.

I have used all these treatments and even attempted cutting them out myself, but nothing works and I am at my wits end. I have found a chiropodist but can't afford the fees.

I was told duct tape works but I just find it peels off minutes after I put it on and start walking around. Mine are on the ball of my foot, where there is a lot of pressure. Any suggestions, I 'd be grateful too.

  • Duct tape worked for me on one persistent one I had on my foot for over a year!!! Got sick of lashing out money on Bazuka etc.

I think it's to do with cutting off the light and air supply to it - they basically just die off and fall out!
Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!?
  • Squirrel - I've not tried it myself but a popular alternative to duct tape seems to be superglue. I would guess as it does the same thing and effectively seals it off so it can die.

Use a blob of superglue on it once/twice a day and eventually it should go black and then fall out.

nothing over the counter worked for my son and they became painful, I spoke to the Dr who referred him to their clinic (most surgeries DO have them, however I'm told that they don't like to treat them) They were very bad though and 4 lots of treatment were needed to remove them - si it is worth asking at your surgery

I had a cluster for about 2 years and my Dad found out that the Scholl shop offer a treatment - it cost about £30. Basically they bathe and file your feet and kinda cut them out, then file some more and use a little sander thing - I was in the chair for about an hour and came out with a few bloody dots on the bottom of my foot then within about a week they were completely healed and never came back!

I highly recommend it - it's not sore - just kinda tickley!

I used Lemon oil on my son's a few years ago when he had one, it seemed to work as the verruca went.
