When I said I was going to make the most of every sunny day, I wish I hadn't known that I meant carpet washing would have to occur on them. So, although the forecast is sun and showers, the dining room carpet is going to be relieved of some of Dog's stains. I've done the dusting, Dy$oned it and moved the now sparkley furniture to one side of the room ready to flash up the CWer. I've also done the hall, airlock and first run of stairs so that I can finish washing the stairs that need attention. They seem to have some really sharp grit lodged amongst the fibres that only the CWer gets out.

I'll be flying for a good while yet, so I rather wish I hadn't started this lark today. I need to phone the furniture repairer because we've got a couple of things that are going to fall apart fairly soon if I don't get someone in.
    Better is good enough.

    Hoovering done, ironing not!

Took DS to the Dentist and he's on Penicillin now but back at school - good lad.

Went to the Lottie - all the stuff we planted is either looking very sorry for itself or has been chomped on by pesky slugs so pellets have gone down and a sun dance is being done, bit gutted cos the plot is big and looks a mess with all the weeds, need some dry weather so I can get over there and start clearing it before we get a letter from the council moaning about us.

Finished making my lap quilt yesterday - although its far from perfect [1st time I've made anything like this] I'm very pleased with it - keep walking past it and patting it lol. Now to start the crochet square blanket - well need to buy some nice wool first but that will have to wait till the end of the month :[

Away to clean the upstairs now

  • I think the nice weather today is having a positive effect on me. So far today I have done HHI, got one load of laundry outside and second load has just finished, the kids bedrooms have been cleaned, the next size of clothes have been looked out for dd.

I have having a few minutes rest before I tackle the next short list of jobs, which includes sorting and freezing rhubarb, hanging 2nd load of laundry outside, putting the next load in the wm and doing another HHI.

I think once I have done the next short list I will take 15 minutes to have lunch and update my list.

Hope everyone is having a good day, hugs to those that need/want them x

DDs room polished and squared up. Wardrobe and CoDs sorted out flinging as necessary. Dusted DS2's TV of about 6 inches of stoor. Another load out on the line and another in machine and the basket is now empty for 5 minutes! Rubbish out, recycling ditto. I will dust and Hoover the LR and then I will sit on my butt and sort through DDs hair accessory boxes

My pals just been round to tell me that a man has been arrested for following the weans home from DDs school. Police were in the school this morning talking to the kids at assembly. May have to re think DDs going to and from school :(

FFP.. I'd be less worried now, if he has been arrested.. they will be searching his house etc and looking for other stuff.

I have walked to shop and back.. normally a 2 minute walk... it took 40 minutes!!! I am now in agony.. so.. I loaded the DW and bagged the recycling and put the smelly laundry in the washer ready to turn on when we get back.

OH is loading up the car.

I've fed the girls so going to make a cuppa and spectate!

French toast made and ate. LR dusted, TD, clothes hung up.
Thought someone was being nice to me opened the door to a flower delivery only to find out its for next door :( they are really beautiful too!
Going to kick OH back to his work and have a wee granny nap on the couch. I might do some ironing later if I CBA. It's at frighten the French stage again!
Need to find tan tights in DDs size for her dancing display can't get them locally will try ebeast first and see where that takes me.

Piggers/helenjelly I'm not overly worried DD walks home with others and only has about 100 yards on the Main Street to walk herself then She's at the yard. I will just stick to DS2 taking her in the morning as she is alone then. He's 14 so he's sensible enough to make sure she's in the school gate before he leaves her.

    afternoon all
saw a friend on way out who recently lost her DH so we had a long chat, she just wanted someone to talk to for a while.
did a cupboard clearing session with mil. 1 CS bag filled, 1 binbag filled everything put back much tidier so she now knows where it all is.
been to work, fed me and DH and hes gone back to work

if you have resigned yourself to going i hope the weekend is as painless and stressfree as possible pigpen (but i have a horrible feeling your weekend will be neither of those things as we already know you are really not wanting to go.)

going to hang a load of washing out then get the sewing machine out for a HHC
    SPC~12 ot 124

In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind

I never want to go and at the moment I think I have a personality disorder.. it either results in me blubbering like a nutjob over nothing at all or throwing a major wobbly over something equally as insignificant... One wrong word and I will have one reaction or the other and I am really concerned it will be the latter and I will rain down a tirade of terror on his sisters head.. tolerance level at -10.. it will be an interesting weekend at best.

And everything is painful.. and their beds are so unsupportive they make e hurt at the best of times.. by Sunday I will want to cut myself in half!
