Agree - it just takes a bit of patience.

My sister has finally received an offer on hers this weekend. It has taken about 7 months in all. It's a nice house in a very highly sought after area and it was realistically priced.

I really cannot see why it proved such slow going but there you are.

Good luck Windsor Castle with your house sale.

Just a thought but we went with our EA because they did all the viewings themselves and I believed that they would weed out the time wasters more thoroughly because it would be their time that was being wasted, not ours (or your tenants in your case). Could you ask the EA to do the viewings?

This whole malarkey is such a pain in the bottom, isn't it?

Thanks Banwa. I'm using an on-line agent so the one downside is having to do the viewings ourselves. Having said that, my tenants are very amenable - I have reduced the rent during this process until they move out so obviously that helps keep everyone unhappy. I think it's very cheeky if LLs just expect tenants to conduct or allow viewings without some gain for the tenants.
