I have just received a blue one including the Google discount, however:
- the software is not compatible with my Mac
- there would be a problem loading the mini cd driver into any slot loading cd reader

Neither of these were made apparent in the ebuyer publicity

I ordered my mp3 player on June 3rd, received message saying it will be delivered June 11, still no delivery by the 12th, rang them they said it was a discontinued item and will refund my money. Not happy with their service, their was no communication from them, if I hadn't rung them I would not know what was happening and it was a 0871 no and I had to wait 10 mins before I spoke to someone. NOT HAPPY WITH EBUYER.

I just experienced the exact same thing mate.

I ordered mine on the morning the deal was first advertised in the email, on May 30th.

Everything seemed to go through fine and I received an email through Google checkout saying my order would be with me by the 8th June (last Friday).. to this day no MP3 player...

I've just sat with the phone ringing and ringing to Ebuyer and finally got an answer.......... Mp3 player out of stock...

The girl said I will get a refund, and I asked why there has been no update, "warehousing problem" and "stuck in credit" were the answers.


The cynical side of me says they were at it...

Since I've started typing this message I've now had two emails from them, "your order has been cancelled" and "your money is now refunded."


So.. no mp3 player. back to square one.


NEVER using ebuyer or google again.

I'll stick to Ebay, Amazon, Sendit and play.com thank you very much..

So what are these (now sold out) players actually like?

Also whilst i am here, can anyone tell me if they have the same problem with MP3 players that i have? The ones that i have used previously have only actually played around 123 songs. What i mean by that is, say i put 150 songs into a folder and set the folder on random play, or even play straight through in order. It will only play 123 songs and not 'register' the other 27 even though they are actually on the MP3 player itself.

Can anyone recommend an MP3 player that doesn't have this problem?

I have just bought one and found the instructions almost unreadable and still can't understand how to load tracks onto the B****Y thing. I am new to this technology can you suggest where I can get decent operating instructions?

I word of warning though; they aren't the most intuitive of devices. You have to learn it's idiosyncrasies and ideally change your ways to get the best from it. I've split my music into subdirectories A-C, D-F, ... in order to have less tracks to sift through if I want something in particular.

They are tough though; mine survived a trip through a 40 degree, 1200 spin wash last week!

I am still trying to get a return the MP3 player not compatible with slot feed cd macs. I think that they want us to ring for a long time on their 0870 number and either give up or not bother. I suggest that MSE considers whether to recommend ebuyer without a big financial health warning about their operation.

I ordered 2 on 30th May. One arrived in 5 days, the other arrived yesterday. I had to e-mail 2 times to chase my order. They replied saying it would be with me in a few days and it was.

As with all MP3 you should forget the instructions. Just have a mess around with it until you have mastered it. It aint rocket science and it wont break. You certainly dont need the disc that came with it. Just plug it into the usb port and drag and drop you music into it.

I do however have 2 issues that I cant resolve
1) How do you get the tracks to play randomly.
2) I have downloaded a self-help cd. At the start it says ' if you are listening in stereo the sound should now be coming out of the left speaker....' and mine is coming out of the right speaker. Other than wearing my earphones on the opposite ears, anybody know how to resolve this?
