    Hi Mouche.
Thank you - just added another £5.64 too - feels good :)

I did get a refund thank you for asking. I was going to get another dvd but they really didn't have a lot of choice. We shall just continue with our 14 year old one! Once the refund hits my bank, I can pop that in my savings too. Even if I don't make my target of £1000 by the end of the year, I'm happy with what I have managed to save.

Still waiting on our annual mortgage statement.....was hoping it would arrive soon so I can see what we've paid off.

Usual meter readings done. £19.98 this week. It hasn't been a lot colder, but i can certainly tell dh has been home without me - the gas has gone up a lot! He would rather put that on that a jumper

You are very dedicated to manage weekly meter readings, I can just about manage once a month. As long as it doesn't jump up dramatically I'm happy.

    Hi too too :j

Just wanted to say I just read your diary and really enjoyed it. It's nice reading someone who is in a similer position to me, ie not a huge income with a reluctant other half. I have subscribed. :D

Hi ed - its to help my motivation and also helps me show dh! He would happily have it on all day!!

Hi lily - thank you for stopping by. He is reluctant but im trying my best :)

Refund from dodgy dvd received and ready to be moved to the savings.
    Still no mortgage statement.
I've been having a good think which is dangerous! !
I'm trying to get back into the habit of washable nappies to save some pennies. They're harder to dry this time of year but even if I only use for a few days its pennies saved.

I'm still trying to cut down on groceries. I have enough for all next week apart from bread and milk. Then I should be able to get by on a small shop. Hopefully pennies saved to the mortgage!

Hi tootoo, I know you said you have a TD (not as posh as GG's :D) but have you thought of getting a heated airer if you have a lot of drying to do daily? I have a TD but almost always use the airer as its less than 5p ph and does about 3 loads at once over a day, although its a big initial cost (around £80 for a 3 tier one) I have found it saves me drying stuff on radiators and putting the heating on.
    MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁

I did not know such a genius invention existed. As soon I will have a load of nappies to dry in midwinter I am off to find one. Great tip thank you :happyhear

Genius it may be. But not as much fun as a :smileyheatumble drier with internal light :smileyhea ;).
