    thanks mouche and becky.

when questioned i was assured it was for illustration only purposes and it will not be charged. maybe it should've been mentioned beforehand as she must've known it would be queried? anyway, i shall return the paperwork next week.

groceries - coming down but need to try harder. freezer is still being run down and finally space is appearing!
im aiming to try an experiment for part of march if organised enough.

thought i'd try a local butcher for meat but when i asked about delivery i was quoted £15 not the local charge of £2.50 as per their website, will call next week and see, they've not bothered to reply to my second email querying the area either which I feel is a little rude.
anyway, off to make pancakes, lots of cooking to do today for prep for the week. Happy sunday.

Getting a little slack with the updates!

New mortgage product now in place. I have reduced our mortgage by 1 year and 1 month when changed it :)

In terms of the loan - received a letter saying thank you for my payment and that I had saved almost as much in interest as I had paid. I had been paying by SO, but a new button has popped up now allowing me to pay straightaway which will really help me (just made three separate payments) so I feel the TT's will all be going to this for the time being. It's due to end sept 14, but I want this to be asap obviously, although I need to keep my emergency fund in place too.
Mortgage op's will be when dh agrees to match my payment and any leftover grocery money. Nothing for today, but will ask DH tonight if he can spare any!

Excellent work on the mortgage tootoo! Good luck with getting DH to pay his share.

How is everything else in tootoo land? Didn't one of the girls have a birthday recently? Was it fun?

Hi mouche - thank you for stopping by :)
Yes, my baby turned two. She had a lovely day and loved all her gifts. i'm feeling sad that my girls are growing so quickly though, but thats the way it goes!!

i'm feeling quite motivated about knocking down my loan - paid quite a bit of little OP's the last few days, hoping the end date of sept 17 is brought forward quite a bit!!

Bit slack with the updating at the mo.
I'm feeling a little demotivated. No OP's to the mortgage, but I've been OPing a lot to the loan. I keep getting lovely letters thanking me for my extra payment and my end term is now x months as I've reduced it!!

We have had a spendy month really, bedroom renovation is complete (looks fab but has been very pricey) and we have quite a bit of work to do in the garden (more pennies to be spent - shed etc as the one we have is falling apart). So my funds are looking very bleak. Savings still in tact for now though. I always feel worse when my 'pots' look empty. Need to build them back up.

    Long time no update.
Back on the OP bandwagon - around £15 last week. Feels good but I wish I had more 'spare' money to throw at it!

Still working on the house. I've been getting green eyed monster at some houses lately but I think I really need to appreciate what I already have. It doesn't have everything we 'want' but it has everything we 'need' which suits my mse self just right :)

Garden renovation almost complete - a little more colour (peonies are almost ready to add to the colour) and a little more work to the playhouse (lino to go down on the floor and curtains up - cut, just need to sew) and its done for now.

I need to have a little tally of my rough estimate mortgage balance as I haven't been keeping track. Also off to read everyones diaries.

Wow tootoo I'm getting envious of your house and I haven't even seen it! All the things you're doing sound lovely and I'm sure your girls will love the playhouse. *I* would love a playhouse!
