British Gas Click Energy 2
What is people's experience with BG Click Energy 2 (with Quarterly Billing)?
I know British Gas is famous for its bad customer service but if this is an pure online account, would I have to deal with them?
I am going to use Quarterly Billing instead of Direct Debit due to BG's horror stories.

Been there ..done that..I would steer clear completely as there site was never working and the phone number to contact them on is outrageosly priced....you will end up using this a number of times...I ended up changing company..0

I think it would probably work well with Quarterly Billing, now I have been with Click Energy for over a year my DD seems to have settled down (touch wood!).
I had problems, but to be honest the money saved on the tarif made me stick with it.

I applied on 7th April through the moneysupermarket.com comparison site to switch from BG Click Energy 1 to 2 .
Should BG have put this into operation by now (almost 7 weeks later)?
What delay have others had making the same switch?0 -
Hmm....need to stay cautious with BG then....even if the savings right now would be around 80 pounds yearly...0

I applied online (House)on 15th of March to change BG leccy, and got confirmation email, then 5 weeks later got bill, still on old tariff.
Complained, was told each application would have to be manually changed, and they were running 6 weeks late due to demand.
9+ weeks in and still nothing despite unanswered emails, plus a dodgy Clickenergy website not sorted. I am beginning to think CE2 was just a delaying ploy to stop people leaving.ac's lovechild0 -
i signed up for BG in march and from april (less then 28 days) i started on standerd dual fuel tarrif (got £40 credit :j which will show on my Q bill) , after switching to BG from powergen after a day in, i signed up for click energy 2 online through moneysupermarket.com (waiting for my £30 cashback  ) i signed up for click energy 2 on about 25th april and phoned them few days ago it has already been changed.
To call BG i never use payphone no. (dont have land line) in case you guys dont know u can call this no. from mob. for free to talk to BG 01133381022.
I pay by DD and im in credit with them :T i keep checking my account by giving them a call, well no probs with customer service so far. and i dont mind to hold

It is highly doubtful you will receive the £40 credit as you get it once you have been on the standard rate for three months (not click 2). You might be lucky though.0
-
well i hope i do i got a letter from them saying i will get it in the third month statement, not saying anythis about the terms and i asked them this twice on different times and they said i will get it.... lets see.0

romi, you do get it once you've been with them for a full quarter, but the t&c for click energy state
. This is right at the top too, not buried halfway down the page.Click Energy 3 cannot be used in conjunction with any other British Gas offers0
