Having switched via moneysupermarket on the £30 CB deal for dual fuel, can anyone advise please when I will get the cash from Money Supermarket. BG started supplying me in early May and I have already paid two lots of monthly direct debits.

Thanks Silverscooby for advising me to ring the house.co.uk phone number, we transferred over to Click 2 in April, first lot of letter went well then, letter after letter asking for bank deatils, everytime we rang up and they promised to sort it, after the 10th letter we were a tad annoyed! any way rang the House No and I do believe this has now been sorted as this was the first person to say we could not pay how much we were asking to pay! Argued the toss that we had 5 years bills (slight exaggeration) but we had worked out exactly how much we needed to pay and he let us, saying it would be reviewed after 3 months, which I thought was a bit pointless as it would be the summer when you are supposed to be in credit, anyway I have high hopes that it is now sorted, fingers crossed.

its supposed to be within 30 days of the transfer having been completed, being as British Gas lack apparent efficiency ( i didnt receive a welcome pack nore was i asked to supply meter readings and had to ask scottish power for the dates that the fuels were actually switched over to British Gas, after i discovered i could no longer log into my scottish power account) i was wondering whether their was anywhere within money supermarket proof of transfer could be emailed so as to speed up the cashback.

This is the reply I just got from Moneysupermarket:

"Thank you for your E-mail,

The cash back payment can be paid from anything up to two to four months after your changeover date as we will be waiting for confirmation of this from your new supplier. If you chose to pay by monthly direct debit then we will send a BACS transfer to your bank account. Otherwise we will send a cheque.

Many Thanks,"

Personally, I see no reason why it shouldn't be paid as soon as the custmer has made their first payment to British Gas.

Good luck - I'll be interested to hear how you get on:

customerservices@moneysupermarket.com

(They like you to use "General Enquiries" as the subject header).

Thank you for your E-mail,

Your new supplier will be providing us with reports in July detailing who has gone live and who hasn't. From these we determine who is due to be paid the cash back. Your cash back is due to be paid on the 5th August 2007. Please allow three to five working days for the BACS transfer to go through.

Many Thanks,

Utilities & Broadband Consultant

May I ask when Br. Gas actually started supplying you - it would help me to work out when I might expect my cashback.

Pleased to see you now have a date for yours.

I have had electricity from BG for just over a year. Had frustrating problems in March & April with notification of an increase in DD amount from £25 to £38 even though I was in credit. One guy I spoke to said the computer had adjusted the payments because it had been cold recently! It took months to sort out although they did give me some compensation and paid one of my DDs. I just can't get my head around the bill and statements. They never seem to have everything synchronised-the bill date, the meter reading (or estimate), the amount you have actually paid. I am apparently now on the Click 2 price but my latest bill downloaded from the website shows at least 3 different tarifs for different periods of time!
I am sure it's not me being stupid!
I think I will go back to quarterly billing-at least you know where you are

proof i sent was scottish power email giving this info "Your electricity left on the 17th of May and the gas on the 22nd of May 2007" and british gas confirmation of online paperless billing setup.

i guess once such proof was produced was easy for dates to be given i would imagine cashbacks will be processed in batches so if yours switched at similar time, your cashback should be paid at a similar time
