    Good afternoon!
First of all, for those who get kicked off when they try and post – type it all in Word first and save it, then copy and paste on to the thread. Works every time! Credit to CRAZYCHIK for that one!
    JET – Benson sounds lovely!
TINKERBELLUK – hope things work out for you and Mr Tink – you’ve had very good advice from DANNAHAZ.
HERBAHOLIC – Have a go with Amazon – I have sold seven books in three weeks which is more than I expected. I shall have to look on the Amazon thread to see if that’s about right; I’m pleased with it so far especially as it is so easy to list the books, store them and pack them up when they sell!
DANNAHAZ – I hope you find a fish you like – well done for persevering with it! I love most fish and I’m sure there is one out there with your name on it!
CSARINA – good luck with the residents’ meeting
CHIPPS – pleased to meet you!
PENPIN – hope you are feeling better
LADYGRIM – I loved your posts – will save them for DH to read later!
Well, dentist has been visited and the check-up cost £18.50; no fillings or extractions or anything else gory and eeeeky, but he has booked me in to have the bottom front ones filled just along the biting edge where they have concaved a bit, because I clench my teeth in my sleep – a forty minute appointment to do just the tips of eight teeth – guess how much? No, wrong! £292.00!!!!!!!!! I’ll have to take out a second mortgage! The thing is, now that he’s mentioned it, I know I’ll have to have it done because it will stop any more wear – anyway, will have to get my weekly food bill down to about £2.50 while I save up for it!
Popped into the charity shops and didn’t find any shoes to go with the dress I’m wearing for the wedding in June but found two nice tops and a book called ‘Dream Therapy’ and another one called ‘De-stress -100 natural mood improvers’ – I’ll let you know if the last one works! Anyway, they were 50p each and both in very good condition.
Well, my charity shop buys are just about finished in the WM (no, not the books!) so I’ll hang them out now. Weather is still lovely so the washing is drying – another pile of ironing in the making. I’m going to get on with the current pile in a minute and then maybe do some more paperwork. I’ve printed off everything from my eBay and Amazon sales but have yet to tot up how much I have made – need to do that to make sure it’s all worth the effort!
Anyway, will call in later for a cuppa.

    Have a great afternoon.

Just a quick one for all the Lavender Ladies aka Insomniacs R Us - have just read in my 'new' Dream Therapy book that a few drops of lavender oil rubbed into the soles of the feet before going to bed has a sedative effect! Will try that tonight - I daren't do it now - I've too much to do!

    Mortgage-free Glee!
    Hi everyone

I don't know where the day has gone. It has been another work at home day today for me.

I spent the morning going through my web based training to see what I could catch up on.

    Email is dead quiet.

Spent my lunch-time bagging up my cooks from yesterday, reheating a bowl of lamb stew for lunch and kicking off the BM.

Worked out I had paid off £12.5k worth of debts since switching job in October - am dead pleased!:j
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

I use a cream I make myself from cheap body lotion and about 15 drops of lavender oil, put the oil in with the cream and pretend you are playing the maracas, (give it a good shake) so the oil mixes into the cream and then use it each night before you go to bed, massage your feet, especially the sole of each foot, and put a very small amount.......NOT NEAR YOUR EYES on your forehead.................a good nights sleep ensuses.................

Chap came this morning to fit a safe thinggy on the water tap, the stop !!!! was seized up so a job that should have taken him half an hour ended up taking almost 2 hours. Rememberwhen I said that thewater board told me we could not have a meter installed, well.........today I found out that 6 of the apartments already have them...........ssssssssssssssssssooooooooooo I was on the phone to them pronto..........you little liars, put me a meter in NOW............they are coming on 13th June to do it. We pay for the hot water that we use in the haeating charge and when you work out that we pay £9.95 A WEEK thats over £500 for 12 months, and then they wanted us to pay another £200 in water rates on top of that.........no way Hosea.............and I will be reading it every week to make sure we are not using too much. Have also arrnaged to have the bath taps changed to mixer taps with a diverter so we can have a shower.........both of us find it difficult even with the rail we have fitted to get out of the bath, besides I prefer a shower...........I can wash my hair easier.

DD is coming this afternoon to see about the kitchen cupboards, it looks like we will have to buy a corner wall unit and a 300mm floor unit and loose one of the 500mm wll units, I'll put it on free cycle.

We have a new lady moving in, Pcikfords are doing the honours, saw them sweatng up the stairs with a cabinet that was too big to go in the lift!!!!!! Have the bread maker on yet again, we seem to be eating more bread just now for some reason.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

QUEENIE: your recipe, can you cook it in a normal over???????if so what temp. I no longer have a micro.............

The advice I gave one of the girls on here when I first posted the recipe was to try baking them in the oven at around 375F/Gas 4 for about 20mins. From memory that was ok for her. But I tend to cook them up in the micro because d11yo loves to make them (last time he got some jam stuck on my kettle base ... don't ask how(!) ... and it was a devil to get off

Kathy, I'm a great supporter of lavender! All the rice bags I've made contain lavender and whenever any of us our below par, we heat one up and take it to bed with us :D Also, about your hair ... do you have a college nearby? You can get cheap hair treatments done by the students (with supervision) very very reasonably! Might help in your fight to raise the Dental Funds!

Pooky - ((hugs)) I can't cope with the hormones I do have, let alone the though of having double dose of them!!! Hope your DD has a wonderful time in France today :D

PP - elona is right about that poster; seen a few of her comments around the board and she does have a very er ... *direct* .. approach to answering people (which frankly borders on downright rude!). But, hey, some people really are like that both on forums and IRL. Best taken with a pinch of salt ;)

taplady - have you tried the crumblies with variations? I've used mincedmeat, lemon curd, apple sauce, chocolate spread, marmalade *drooling*

Well, not too sure what happened this afternoon, took a wee break with my book and a cuppa and ... fell asleep :o Ho hum! *looks around nervously*

Aussielass, I confess to having to look up Ullapool - oh my, looks absolutely gorgeous!! Enjoy and know I'll be sat here feeling envious

    Good afternoon all,

Tinkerbell...Dannahaz had some very good advice in her post....hasten slowly in such a huge part of your life.

PenPin...take it easy, I hope that you feel better soon

Kyle, glad that the gum is less sore, not keen on dental work myself.

Jet, enjoy your dog..our darling dog had to be put to sleep last November and we all miss her so much, I can't yet face the thought of another dog as we had Max and her mother Jess for more than 20 years...my only company pet wise now is Luca my 12 year old cat, who is sitting on my shoulder as I type!

    angeladavis...congratulations on your debt reduction

Dannahaz..I love all fish, am very impressed with your efforts to like it...have not had that problem.

    Ladygrim...smiled at your posts.

Mioliere...sympathise with your dentist bill....I was reluctantly parted from €420 this morning for my new specs and would be afraid to go to dentist....

Anniestar...sorry you are having such trouble with site, happened to me yesterday and I was livid (patience not my strong suit!)

As I have been interrupted by OH and both DGS' five or six times since I started to post I think that I had better go and feed the hungry...

Hugs to all in pain of any kind
