Penny-Pincher!!
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning Guys!
Have not slept well at all and feel lousy:rolleyes:
WM will be on later, DW needs putting on afyer breakfast and toilet will be cleaned. OH and I have some stuff that needs doing around the house...like under the bed, nets being washed and loads of calls and letters/emails to send:eek:
Anyway, not stopping as I want a drink and a biccie.
Hugs to all.

(((Hugs))) PP Hope you start to feel better soon and manage some sleep tonight!
We have got back from our road trip to Savannah and there were no road closures although we did see some smoke from the fires! It was lovely to see my Aunt and Uncle and cousin and to be shown around such a pretty place as Savannah.
Today was last minute shopping including cases to bring it all home in, the cases were only £20 in Walmart and very lightweight. I had to shop in a wheelchair though as I had definately overdone it!
Tomorrow we hope to get to the Kennedy Space Centre!
It has been a lovely holiday but we are looking forward to coming home now!

Hi PP and Catznine
Glad to hear that you are still having such a fabulous time Catznine. I love the USA too, though don't get there very often.
AnnieStar, how is Phoebe? I hope that she had a quiet night and is a bit stronger today.
Today is my 12.30pm start at w*r* today, so am hoping to get a few odds and ends done around the house in the morning. The kitchen is an utter tip - I am beginning to suspect that someone sneaks in while my back is turned and messes it up. I've got to do some vacuuming too, the kitties aren't quite bald yet but they are definitely going that way if the amount of shed cat hair on the carpets is anything to go by..
Last night I was at my friend's house - her seven month old kitten is about to give birth, the poor little thing is wider that she is long. Apparently I am going to get first pick of the litterthough I think Teddy and Dylan would have something to say about that.
Scuzz, give that man of yours a kick up the bum and ask him to be a bit more open with you as nobody likes the guessing game.
Bye for now

Hi all. Nice and sunny here so far this morning, hope it stays around for a while, I have a load of washing to do today.
Man over the road is just revving up his sports car, he drives me MAD with it, it's only 6.00 in the morning and he wakes the whole street  . Don't know who he thinks he's impressing, certainly not me
Got loads of housework to do today, I stupidly invited a friend round to see my kitchen as she's thinking of having the same surfaces, which means I have to clean and scrub mine before she turns up :rotfl: My and my big mouth
Also have to wait in for the gas man to arrive this morning, this is the third time in two weeks  and they still haven't worked out why all my radiators upstairs are red hot even though the heating is switched off.
Have a great day everyone.

Morning CATZNINE – glad you’re having such a good time!
PENPIN – I took a while to get to sleep last night despite the lavender – I think it was just too warm plus I had dozed off on the sofa and missed the end of Paul Merton in China – the bit I watched was brilliant . Mainly about the food they eat over there but, as it’s too close to breakfast, I’m trying not to think about it!
Once I had nodded off, I managed to stay asleep – that must be the lavender effect.
MRS MIX – I hope your cold goes away soon; I have dentist this morning – just a check-up – and then a wander round the charity shops that are in the same village.
YELLOWMONKEY – did you have one of those Action Men with the treasure map hidden inside his wooden leg? My brother had one of those – I thought it was really cool!
N9EAV – have a great day fishing! If you’re having the same weather we’re having – looks bright and sunny – it should be a lovely day!
AMIE – I’ve frozen flapjacks and they’ve been just as good as freshly baked! I’m going to have a go at QUEENIE’S Jam Crumblies today after she kindly broke off from cooking her dinner to post the recipe! I do hope her Shish Kebabs weren’t burnt!
Well, as I said, I have dentist at 10.40 and, as DH needs to leave the house early today, I should be able to get the ironing done before I go and a quick swish and swipe. Usually have DGS7yo after school unless it’s sunny, in which case he’ll be staying at school for cricket practice so, if he doesn’t come round, I’ll finish my paperwork (says she hopefully!) but if he does, I’ll get thrashed at draughts again!
Well, need to take DH is cuppa and organise breakfast – Shredded Wheat for him (yuk!!) and Weetaflakes with sultanas for me (mmm!), get the WM and BM on, put the ironing board up ready and, generally, get off here and get a move on!
Will drop in later – have a good day, everyone and (((Hugs))) to all in need!
