if you rub the skins with a bit of oil and coarse salt and pepper they come up really crispy.I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you

Does anyone have any nice ideas to add to baked Jacket potatoes. Ive got some bacon and cheese but not sure if this would be enough flavour. Any other ideas would be great, but kids wont eat peppers. Havent done them before would I just scoop out the middle mix in with other ingedients and then poop back in the oven to brown?
ThanksI hope that my child, looking back on today

my favourite filling for jackets is a tin of tuna mixed with sweetcorn and mayo or salad cream. I usually add a chopped up onion to bulk it out too
yummy x0 -

Hi jay-jay,
I love bacon and cheese but add some finely chopped onion too. Mushrooms fried in butter is my daughters favourite. There are loads of lovely ideas on this earlier thread:

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
I bought a sack of potatoes (maris piper) and have quite a few very large spuds which I would like to use for lunch when we have visitors at the weekend.
The thing is I dont think beans and cheese will cut it and I am after something abit more special. (but not expensive)
I am serving Lasagne for Dinner so would prefer something without mince (so no chilli/bolagnse etc)
I have searched and looked at the baked potato thread but nothing really suitable. Feel free to merge!
Any ideas?0 -
