HI blackangel. That outfit sounds like a bargain! Here's hoping you make a profit when you sell it on.

I got refused for a couple of cards at the beginning of this year, and for a loan in february, but I have just applied for and got an Egg card (0% on balance transfers for a year) and they gave me a credit limit of £7,500.
    Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.62

    Hi Seaxwyn

I have never been refused credit before, but thinking when I did the application I had about 8 things on the go, before I combined everything onto four cards.

I think I will try and apply again in September for an egg card to transfer the balance of the Halifax card. I am hoping to pay a lot more off one or all of the cards by then, so that should hopefully help. I am just desperate not to be paying interest again given the DFW knowledge I have :)

Cheers for the advice, it's not all bad and I am very pleased with the outfit, it's that cool I'd like to wear it myself :rotfl:

Never rains but it pours - now the dog has got fleas  So that means DD has nits and dog has fleas - jeez I'm itching now! Honest, I live in a nice house and clean every day :rotfl:

Have deloused both children (DS is remarkably clear of them but just in case) and attacked the dog with Frontline. Need more frontline as well so off to quidco to see where I can get some from via them!

Good thing is so far today has been NSD - DH has spent nothing and managed to entertain DD for two days of half term without reaching for the pennies and done all crafty stuff with her. We have now have lots of papermache balloons, god knows what we're going to do with them though!

£29 unexpectedly arrived in my account later today and so I passed that straight over to the debt account, about £475 there now :j

I also managed to walk past Boots today and did not enter to purchase the miracle cream - how much longer can I resist!! If Gordon does pay a visit to my office I may have to cave in before then though :p

Had to chuckle, because I was up at the crack of dawn de-nitting my DD too!

Dare not go near the cat to see what she is housing, perhaps will put trust in the drops we put on her neck each month and hope!!

Good news on the debt fund though, that is a good amount of money to have put away already.

As for the miracle cream, try olive oil as a moisturisor, and if you have eye wrinkles, I know people who use Anusol - tightens the skin, apparently all the A-listers use it!!

Oh pania, you have lived such a sheltered life. You obviously have all these pleasures still to come and then you will wonder how you ever coped without them.....:D

:rotfl: Nits is such a popular topic in our house. My DS told me yesterday though that he was sad he didn't have nits and could he borrow some of DD's :rotfl: he's only 3 bless him - lots to learn.

DH is being a complete a**e today. I have stayed at home to look after kids and he has worked - has complained endlessly about not liking his job so I told him to either look for something else or stop moaning. I have spent a long time before sympathising with him re job, trying to suggest things, but he continues to moan without making much of an effort to look elsewhere.

The response today has been that if I hadn't got us into debt he could get a job for less money and be happy. I have said that I am more than happy to downsize the house and he can get a less paid job but he refuses.

So, despite me having spent hours looking for clothes/toys to ebay I feel **** about the position we are in again

Now I'm fed up I feel like going to the chippy for tea instead of sticking to the flamin menu and buying some new shoes! I know I can't/shouldn't but I do seem to buy when I feel down.

He has stomped off to play golf now and will probably return in about 5 hours time when he has calmed down and have conveniently forgotten what he has said. He really is a decent bloke and works hard and looks after the children when I am at work, but I don't know how long the guilt trip can go on. Believe me, I know this is my fault and I have lied to him, but I am doing my best to try and repair the situation.

Felt so positive about everything this morning, didn't necessarily even feel in debt  but now all fed up again :( Just came on to moan and let it out really, no response required.

    Much better day today :j

Got face paints for the kids for next week for £3.98 so I think I will have sorted them all out for about £25.00 and they look superdooper as well, DS is perfecting his roar as I type

Decided after our slight disagreement yesterday to spend a cheap quality day together. So dragged a very reluctant DD and a tiger DS for a picnic and a walk. Think we nearly killed the dog in the process as we walked about 3 miles in 3 hours and she probably covered about 9 and swam in a swamp

DFW day slightly spoiled by extortionate price of ice creams (£6.80 for 4  ) but the kids had been so good and it was so hot it was hard to refuse - and I still had change from £10 that I had drawn out last Saturday :j

Got home and we are having a nice evening in, DH cooking me something nice and just poured me a very sophisticated lager shandy :rotfl: I am in charge of the Lemon Meringue!!

Hopefully kids are so knackered they will be in bed in an hour and we can have some peace and quiet :j

So we've had a lovely day out with loads fo fun and spent a grand total of £6.80 - who needs money to have fun - not me :)
