Hoped to have a NSD today BUT DD decided to have nits, treated her with some stuff we had but needed to buy the repellant, I also needed to buy some more fish oil vitamins (I swear they keep me and the kids sane and alive!). I was very good though and in typical DFW style went to quidco and got 8.5% back on my purchase.

Also bought my niece's birthday pressie with my online Tescos vouchers and only had a balance of about a fiver to pay :j

So I've spent about £25 today, but these were essentials, yet I still feel bad about spending - I am obsessing about what I can save, think DH is tiring of me.

I'm not doing so well on fancy dress front for kids (need to dress them up as animals for the local carnival float). Was going to DIY an outfit but it's going to cost me about £15 + and I've been on ebay and there are some decent outfits on there that I could get and then resell the next day ;) Thought it was a good(ish) plan and will get money back on it as well, but not sure if it's very DFW.

Planning NSD tomorrow to make up for today though.

Hope you all have a lovely Bank Holiday x

If you can resell the outfits on afterwards, it sounds like a good plan to me, but then I'm not very good at making things!

If you need any nit combs, Asda have them on 3 for 99p at the moment - got some to check DS's hair with, even though it's so short I don't think anything could live on his head lol.

Which fish oil do you use? We give DS the Haliborange one (he has ADHD), have wondered about Eye-Q but it's sooo expensive.

    Hi S

I have the Nitty Gritty comb and it is brilliant, but there are just some b***ers at school who don't get their hair checked so it is in extra use. She'll be nit free for a week and then it will start all over again when half term is over  DS's hair is a bit like a mad professors and he can hide all sorts so I'm tackling him tomorrow

I do the Haliborange as well. Prior to being a DFW I used the IQ and it is stupidly priced and also disgusting (I tried some after forcing it down them for weeks :rotfl: ) They have those orange tablets with breakfast and they are soooo much calmer now. I may have to start giving them to the dog!

Re outfits, I'm shocking at making things and DD is very particular about what she will wear, I did think of tights on her head (face cut out for breathing purposes of course) and trying to make her look like a monkey. Needless to say that went down like a lead balloon - :rotfl:

Do you wonder why we are up so late posting? I'm sure I used to have a life a few weeks ago  :j

Lol, I've got a bit of an excuse in the form of a 2 week old baby who thinks bedtime is midnight! Although she's been sleeping till about 6.30am-ish, so I can't complain!

DS has the haliborange liquid, which I think is about £4 a bottle - it's gross but DS has actually grown to like it!

I've also read the matched betting threads and I'm none the wiser, so I'd love to join ur 'learning circle' if that's ok?

Hi P - glad the patches worked although it is quite disgusting to see what comes out.

I ended up getting DD an outfit off Ebay, it was £10.99 but I bought via the Quidco link and I will resell it on Ebay as it's not something she intends to wear ever again (she doesn't seem impressed with it I have to say!). There is another costume for DS and I'll do the same with that in a few days when auction ends.

Hopefully now this week will be a No Spend week!
