Thanks - and what a kind offer!! We haven't sorted dates yet so I can't take advantage of your generosity - but thanks a lot for the info - single tickets and broken into short stretches is obviously the way to go.
I'm going to Exmoor this month and Tenby next - too freebie weekends courtesy of generous friends - not quite Barbados I know but I'm very grateful!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Well thought I would update my diary. My computer has been playing up at home and left me (shock horror!) with no internet access and I actually had to do other things!! Matters are now remedied thankfully.
Have just spent the evening sorting money out although that feels an impossible task as DH is keeping his receipts and I am playing a guessing game! DD has cost me a fortune again as she has now joined Brownies and that has cost £32.50  She has asked to go on the next trip with them in a few weeks but that is £16 and she needs  the uniform if she is going on the trip. I have reached a compromise that she contributes the pocket money she has saved and we will pay the rest but she earns money to pay for the rest of the trip. After much thought and consideration (hmmm about 10 seconds) she came downstairs and said that it had taken her too long to save up £13.22 and she would like to keep it - do I have a young money saver on my hands :j
House Insurance renewal arrived today and has gone up by £100  and I haven't even claimed. Just gone through Quidco however and for £120 cashback I have got a quote £200 cheaper and that is before my Quidco money! I am going to pay it all up front at the end of the month when we are paid and that will be the first time ever I have paid house insurance in one lump sum so feeling quite proud.
Have done a bit of match betting and have £200 free bet to use before Saturday but that will just cover the expenses for children this month!
Hopefully next month when DH gets his full salary we can get ourselves on the straight again - hmm did I say that last month?
No update on job front, just have to wait and see and keep looking......0
