    Mumto5 - I treated myself to a wider ironing board a few years back - it's brilliant!

    .......I still hate ironing, though!!!

    Morning folks

3 x WM done and out on the whirley
3 dollops of doggy do removed from pavement in front of garden :) (wont have to worry about the kids stepping in it)

I have a meeting at school later. I'm trying to sort out my wifi as for the last 3 weeks it has been difficult to get anything attached to it. It was fine at 5am this morning though but not now.

Thank you for the thread ladies x

    Hi All

I am in this week, a bit late but I am here, thanks for this weeks lists Dusty. My new suite arrived on Saturday so LR was cleaned & polished to within an inch of its life before it arrived, so I am still in the “keep everything looking new & neat & tidy” stage. We don't have a lot of furniture in LR now since decorating so its much easier to keep clean & tidy.

My poor DD has chickenpox, :( they started appearing on Friday evening, I need to call the school tomorrow when they are back to find out how long she has to stay off, thank goodness DH is backshift this week & nightshift next week as otherwise I would have had to take unpaid leave. DS, DH & I have never had chicken pox so I am hoping we won’t get them.

Due to beinghouse bound most of the weekend, house & ironing pile is looking good. We went out to the beach a while yesterday, just kept DD as far away from people as possible, she was worried about people staring at her but she was fine. Listy looking not too bad, shall crack on later after dinner.

    Morning all

Despite having a bad night and little sleep, I managed to clean through the house before the first removals estimator arrived at 10.00 - he was suitably impressed that I had already started decluttering and packing :)

I am feeling quite grotty now - aches and pains and shivers and blocked nose - so will probably curly up on the sofa for an hour after an early lunch. DH will take himself to his horse piddle appointment this afternoon - it's only the pre-assessment before he is admitted as a day patient for a cardiac procedure next Wednesday (repeat of the one which didn't work in January).

The sun has gone and hidden itself behind a mass of grey cloud, so it might be ***cool*** enough (for a change!) for me to go out in the garden later this afternoon to dig up some plants for my friend - self-seeded hellebores, wildly rampant Michaelmas daisies, snowdrops in the green, etc. Digging up is no problem, but I find planting out much more of a chore.

3 of my 4 items on eB@y have bids, and today I've found some more things to sell. DH also wants me to auction off some of his model railway pieces.

Hope everyone has a good day. GWS vibes to mrs m-p, pigpen and macpep's DD.

I managed to do nearly all the Monday tasks yesterday, just need to wipe over the work surfaces, doors and trolley with Dett0x substitute, as I prefer to do this when Mr LW is at work and not making endless cups of tea.;)

I also ironed Mr LW's shirts for work (he usually does the ironing in our house) - he's only in three days this week, as he's got the early shift Friday so will wfh - but oh boy, do my hands and shoulders know about it!!

I need to dust the hall and lounge as best I can today; (no lifting of the large dragons, I'm afraid) - Mr LW checked the smoke alarm (to save me stretching up), and of course the bins have to be done today, on Bank Hol schedule.

I ought to try and do a bit of weeding out the back - only I look out at it, and go all wobbly at the thought of being out there on my own.:( Mr LW has done the front as best he can:A so the neighbours wouldn't really be an issue as I'd only be in the back, with the gate padlocked; don't know what's wrong with me. I suspect BD may be something to do with it.

Macpep GWS wished to DD; and hope the rest of the family don't catch it.

I have no idea if I've ever had chickenpox, and no way to find out, as there was an arson attack at the GP surgery where I lived many years ago, and all the records were destroyed. (It was all on paper back then).

Have a lovely day everyone; posi-vibes where needed.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

They are contagious until the last spot has scabbed over.. but are contagious up to 2 weeks before the spots start appearing.. and you really best hope neither you nor hubby get them they are very very nasty to have as an adult. My uncle had them at 42 and was off work for a month. Avoiding pregnant ladies is advisable too, they can cause miscarriage and stillbirth and neonatal death if the mum gets them!

We'll have some though if you get desperate and want to drive here for the day!
