They are contagious until the last spot has scabbed over.. but are contagious up to 2 weeks before the spots start appearing.. and you really best hope neither you nor hubby get them they are very very nasty to have as an adult. My uncle had them at 42 and was off work for a month. Avoiding pregnant ladies is advisable too, they can cause miscarriage and stillbirth and neonatal death if the mum gets them!

We'll have some though if you get desperate and want to drive here for the day!

Wish I could drive there for the day :rotfl:, anything for a day off work, I have heard they are nasty as an adult . I have also spoken to my cousin who is pregnant & told her to stay away (especially as she has been TTC for 4 years), must also call my other cousin who is due in June . I read that if we are going to catch them, we can catch them up to 21 days after DD has had them. DS has been in amongst it before, nursery, childminder and now almost all in his class, so I wonder whether he is a carrier as no-one in DD's class has had them.....yet:eek:. I can't stop scratching, anyway mums are not allowed to be sick :p

Anyway why would you want them????

Helen how lovely to see you posting; I was only thinking earlier that you'd been absent for too long, and was debating whether to ask if anyone had "seen" you.:o

Come on, off your bottom and join me in a HHSomething:o - I'm plucking up my courage to go out and do HHWeeding in the back garden.

I had them whilst pregnant with DD2! NOT FUN! She was fine, but I was in agony and had to look after DS who'd come down with it 3 days earlier. Being pregnant reduces the medication they can give you too...
