  • Been to the paid stuff this morning. "Found" 4 lots of washing. Made use of the good weather and even put DD's duvet through a wash cycle. DS is off school with prickly heat after yesterday's trip to the beach. Poor love is in agony, boiling hot, itchy and full of a rash all over his torso. The X-box is working far better than the Piriton :)

OH tried to have a go with the strimmer, but gave up as he's off work too with a bad back. The sun has just gone in so I'll go and mow the grass whilst it's a touch cooler.

Back at the paid stuff at 5pm and going to do the recycling en-route.

Healing vibes to everyone that is suffering with ailments at the moment.

Glad to hear you tiling is underway, Pigpen - one less thing to drive you round the twist :T

Good afternoon everyone. Its a lovely sunny and warm day here today therefore I am feeling very motivated and getting a lot done.

So far today after getting the kids to school I have done paid stuff that was in, took some unwanted books to the recycle tip, popped to the local shop for a few bits that we needed, hung a load of washing outside and another load is in the machine, done 4 phone calls that I have been putting off, done HH sorting files on the computer.

Now I am going to do a quick hoover round and then go and pick the kids up and post dvd whilst out. Once I come back from that I will make a start on the dinner, just hope it will get eaten as ds and dh were complaining about feeling sickly this morning.

Hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather and hugs to those that need/want them x

Pigpen - I've just read on one of your posts about postage fees on Ebay - have they gone up - I need to get started on Ebay again but may do a carboot - thanks

    Helen

Ebay capped the amount of postage you can charge and the royal mail have pretty much doubled their prices.. check their new prices on their websites.. it is extortion!

HHC in garden turned into an hour, ive weeded and finished daff deheading our front. nipped up to the school and bunged some marigolds next to 'my classes' carrot seeds. am now going to declutter the dandelions off the park garden area next to my house - they are all in flower so will only blow the clocks all over my front in a couple of weeks. so if i do it now it cuts down on my weeds later in the season. HHC again

    editted
all flowering dandelions have been removed from my corner of the park,
going for a HHC on the veg patch now as ive heard its raining later in the week so want to get it sorted before that comes

Thanks Pigpen - car boot it is then :[ ETA blimey I won't be posting much! Local selling pages on Facebook it is then

Hi LW - I had a mad half hour in the kitchen and managed to do quite a bit - door frames and doors are all now degunked as are the kick boards and wm and td, washed up too - if i see a slimline DW going free or cheap anywhere I'm grabbing it, I'm sure its costing more to wash up by hand and thats just the cost of the handcream!

One school run done and another to do in a mo and then its washing clothes time as well as helping DD with her homework - I had to help with French last night, its far harder than I had to do at school, google translate was used quite a bit lol

hugs macpep, chicken pox is really miserable if youre an adult, my DH is an only child and his parents protected him from everything as a child and kept him away from illness as much as they could as a result every time our kids caugh anything he got it too only much worse. if he gets run down he gets tonsilitis really ba and it floors him. he got chicken pox and was covered in scabs and got really ill with it.
i hope your DD doesnt 'share it with you or your DH but your DS would be better off getting it young. hugs (from a distance) to you all

Bit more gardening for me today. Just going to feed the lawn as it looks like rain is approaching. Hope it passes by for cricket later.

Squeak is shrieking about the mower going and Dot just woke from a short snooze.

OH outside mincing he has filled a wheelie bin with gibble that was rolling about out there, it almost looks presentable.
We have some trellis to add to the playhouse and need a climbing plant to attach to it.. I'm unsure whether honeysuckle is suitable or not.. I love buzzy bees not so sure if they like toddlers though!
I sorted a binbag of clothes from DS3s cupboard so I need to hide that before he gets in and has hysteria. I was going to buy a new chest of drawers for Dot because hers is too small but she can have DS3's and him and DS2 can share. I also binned a full binbag of rubbish from in there.. it is still a swamp. DS2 off college tomorrow so it will be Thursday before I can manage another half hour of flinging in there.

Third load needs emptying from the TD but I am so incredibly tired now.. :(

I may go have a sort in Tiddles CoD's too, I'm sure I could get a binbag full from there too.

I got half a binbag for CS from the kitchen work surface, a bag of toys to go upstairs and 3 piles of clean laundry to put away.. there is still no flat surface to be seen!!!

Chips and freezer surprise for dinner, I am too tired to do anything else!.
