Yup - had tried the SS tills at rear of store at lunchtime so tried the front set after work. SA was female, 25-35, navy blazer, heavily made up, dark hair severely pulled back into a long sleek ponytail and no hint of a smile at any stage.magicbucks wrote: »Hi all
Title should be how to lose SA over shoulder/hover
I am really sorry to hear re anemones experience but after the Waterloo I wanted to be prepped when I went into another store in central London Anyway I went and bought some items 3 bb creams 7.42 result Then decided to go upstairs to where all cosmetics were kept
CHecked out bronzers so got 3 and was about to pay when a male SA started hovering I looked him straight in the eye and said oh good you're here can you get me some panty liners I forgot them He went Red and embarrassed by the time he returned with them I had already paid and got the sixteen off
I had 2 more sets as in 2 glossies and 2 SS ones. Got nails done and went back in afterwards and used them and no hovering this time so you know what to do to get rid of busybody
Alternative is check out store layout and what product is at the furthest corner from self service till so if there is. Hoverer actually take control say I am glad you are here please go and get me said item by the time they come back you'll have paid ;-)
I like your style! Not sure it would have worked with my SA though. She would probably have got someone else to go for me and stayed right where she was.pattylabelle wrote: »May I suggest that you try using a manned till in the kennedy centre in west Belfast- I have educated them:D:D:D
I have also done the glitch at the ss in Donegal Place- you are doing nothing wrong here:)
I might just do that - thanks.
Cheers ladies :beer:0 -
Just got 3 BB creams for £11something, Thanks!!! Both the buy one eat one half price and the 3 for 2 came off, and used the £5 and £3 vouchers. Very pleased.0

2 BB creams and 1 tinted moisuriser for £11 something and then later on...
2 blushers and 1 exfoliator with the glossy voucher and the till spit one came to £5.50.
The vouchers did have an issue going in, the SA came and sorted and then asked me why id used 2 vouchers (i explained one for skin care one for makeup) she clearly didnt see the 3rd!
Bargain! Thanks OP and others who have spotted these glitches you are stars!!SPC6 #116 £652.75
SPC7 #116 £674.50
SPC8 #116 £10100 -
I've been to the Durham Market Place store and the first SA tried to persuade me that I should do separate transactions ie use the £5 voucher off the tinted moisturiser and then £3 off the mascara. I said no I want to take advantage of BOGOHP and use both vouchers. SA said they weren't allowed to take 2 vouchers in the same transaction. I said tell your tills that as they've been allowing it all week. I pointed out her colleague that served me yesterday and she went over and started whispering about me. I went over too and they came up with some story about the staff are sent emails by head office if they notice "cheap" transactions going through tills. I said well explain to your head office that your tills aren't programmed properly as they are allowing both vouchers to be used AND ss till spits (although I've never had any of those). I said have they not read moneysavingexpert.com? If they are aware of these glitches why don't they do something about it to stop it happening again? She didn't know the answer to that! I came away feeling that my card is now marked and they'll be watching out for me next time a glitch occurs. I'll have to find a different store.....0

Try not to look at the Grabbit board, used to be a avid Bootster but out the habit. i have a glossy £5 and£3, what's best to buy as cheap as possible
going out shortly
TIALife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
Well I had a very rude SA in Norwich today. At the Self-Serve I was watched and couldn't get the vouchers to go in so the SA came over and said that I cannot use both vouchers. I argued and said it will work she said it wouldn't and wouldn't "allow me" to use them both, was against the rules of the vouchers, etc.
I needed the BB Cream so in the end the best I got was two BB Creams and one Tinted Moisturiser for £14 something.0 -
I've been into Sheffield Drakehouse today and bought (because I hadn't realised there were two offers running concurrently like a dope) 1 BB cream 12.95
1 No 7 Mascara 12.50
Saving 6.25 on BOGOHP
Glossy 1 - 5.00
Glossy 2 - 3.00
ACM voucher save -2.00 when buying any mascara
ACM voucher get 300 points when you buy any No 7 foundation
So that should work out at 9.20 + 300 points.
I still have a glossy and a till spit left so I'll be back in tomorrow as I really like the BB cream. Shame I haven't got any more 300 points vouchers
In CP Boots I picked up a Koo-di baby carrier for £5.00 which seems to be end of line in that particular shop as they were still £14.99 in Drakehouse.
And the Heinz stage 1 baby food pouches are 50p instead of 89p and double points for parenting club members.
Finally they have the Heinz First Spon pack with a pouch, a jar, a spoon and packet of baby cereal on clearance for £2.50 and it includes £1.30 of vouchers which you could use against the pouches above making them 20p each.
Obsessing about remortgaging and interest rates all day, every day:)0 -

Was there any need to tell her about a glitch you couldnt even use because of not having the voucher?
I guess you wanted to make sure if you had trouble getting it no one else was going to........0 -
I have a lovely glossy voucher in my purse which is a shame to go to waste but I don't dare hand both vouchers over as I know the SA would refuse.
I am sure they will have all been made aware of this glitch and told not to accept both vouchers in one transaction (as stated on the Terms on the back) so doubt anyone will have any luck on a manned till now.
A quick question: Does this glitch work with just 1 x BB or 1 x tinted moist plus 2 x skincare or does it have to be two of the glitch items? as I might try it tomorrow if I go to a store further away which has a SS till and no hovering SAA home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
I need an Intense volume mascara, bronzing pearls and soft and soothes cleanser. I have the two glossy vouchers do you think it would work on these products.0
