LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
Got caught by these people. Signed up to these people without realising it. The next day phoned up and complained and was told that I could apply for a refund through their website. I asked if they could do it over the phone, but they said I couldn't. Logged in to the website and requested a refund. The website then said that I needed to request an SMS code to enter in to the website. This I did. I got a text message from them, but with no code (just blank). I left things for a while then went on to the site again and requested a code. This came, and everything seemingly worked and the site said I would receive the refund within 5 days. This did not happen. I tried to phone them again but only got a recorded message and could not get through to a person - despite what it says on the website. I tried using the contact form on the website but got no reply. Eventually I used their complaint form and threatened legal action. Now I got a response and they said I would have the refund within 7 days depending on my bank. After five days I contacted them again by email and said the refund had still not reached my account and my bank only takes 3 days to process BACS payments (the norm). They wrote back and said it would be with me within 48 hours - which it was
I think their business model is to make refunds so difficult to get that you either give up or forget. They function on the edge of being illegal. They are regulated by the FSA, but they count on people not being bothered to complain. And if you harangue them long enough you will get your money back and likely not complain to the FSA. It is a scam, but one the relies on your own inactivity. This sort of business should be made illegal. They are using a loophole in the current legislation.0
