On what basis? They paid for a service and the company is providing it. Any chargeback attempt will be fought by the company.

The companies give a cancellation route so that is what the OP should be following. If he is in time then he will get a refund - why wait 6 months for the posibility of getting his money back.

The OP needs to contact their bank ASAP to raise a dispute. After the OP has gone down the route of trying for a refund from the company direct which will most likely be unsuccessful, then the bank may be able to recover the money, but it can take up to six months, not wait 6 months.
You may question anything I say. Just be polite, otherwise you go straight on to my Ignore List, which funds a good old fashioned knees-up every Xmas. Cheers;)

Again since it seems to go over your head - ON WHAT BASIS ARE THEY RAISING A DISPUTE?

There are no grounds for a dispute in the OP's case. Telling them to contact their card issuer is a waste of time. The bank CANNOT recover the money, where have you got "up to 6 months" from ?

Why? WHY?!? Why do people who are already in a financial pickle think that paying £65-odd quid - not even for a loan, but for someone else to 'find' you a loan - is a sensible option?!

Am I missing something? I don't think that I'm particularly stupid, but I can't work this one out...:o

    No your not missing anything.

I think its the mindset people who get into when they look for a loan thats desperately needed and they end up not applying to these broker sites and not thinking about the £69 fee (they dont read the T&C's to notice this ) they have just handed over.
  • I got caught thought I was dealing directly with a loan company then saw the bit saying I had paid £27 my fault didn't read it

If you want to try and get the money back, read T&C's about getting a refund.

We also got scammed by loan options. They took £67.64p from my account after 2 months.Text my wifes phone that said, you have now joined the club.I did a bit of homework on the company.Mr Chaimberlane, the CEO,has already dissolve one company called, loanoptions, and then 2 years later started loan options, from a mailing address in Wales,I sent them a stinking e mail, and we had a call from them,do you homework, keep on at them, they offered £30.00 refund.after quoting the law at them,we got a full refund.cant stress enough,QUOTE THEM THE LAW, they soon back down
