Morning all
I'm having mental images of all these otherwise respectable ladies taking sniffs from tissues and brown bottles :rotfl: I was an honorary member of the Insomniacs Club last night - didn't get to sleep till after 2am and then dd woke me up at 8.30 to say she was going to school and sorry to bother me but could she have her dinner money cheque please  then I remembered that I don't work mondays
I think I was buzzing from a lovely day yesterday - went to visit my 21yodd. She lives by the river in chiswick and there is a lovely farmers market down the road so we went there first (£8.00 worth of vegetables, some very mature and smelly goats cheese and some mackerel pate) and then back to hers where she cooked me a roast dinner to die for - I haven't had a roast since youngest dd went veggie last year. We have always had a difficultish relationship but things are so much better since she moved out - well of course they would be I suppose but it has done her the world of good and she is now a very responsible and capable young lady. She also lent me some nice tops for my holiday in a couple of weeks. middle dd is also taking me shopping later. we are going to soem real shops where the clothes are new and haven't been worn before. When I told her my budget was £30 she gave me a withering look.
Scuzz I do so hope you get things sorted either way - best of luck
Today I must clear the laundry, find out what to do with the smallest celeriac in christendom (we've never had it before!), clean my room, clear out the spare room for decorating and then meet dd for the shopping extravaganza and then look after dgs while she plays netball - phew - i almost wish I was at w*rk (not really)
have a good day allI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Morning all,
Lovely day here - so need to get some washing on the line in a minute. We had friends round for a Chinese takeaway last night so I need to go and tidy that up as well. I seem to be coming down with the cold as well - I was going to go swimming but we'll see.....
Need to do some baking - as fast as I make stuff it gets hoovered - however the house is clean and tidy - we had gas central heating fitted last week (changing from oil) so had to have a major tidy on Sat. It's lovely being able to have hot water without having to run the heating.
Brekkie - HM malt loaf
Lunch - kids - leftover Chinese rice and veggies with a chicken drumstick
me - jacket potato
Dinner - spag bol - as long as I go and get the mince out of the freezer Now!!
Hugs to all who need them and hope everyone has a good day.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

BF - When was the crash? Was he hurt? Is he okay??
BF - ASK HIM!! Remember, he's in this relationship as well. He should have volunteered the information - but you know how boys are!
WORK - They gave you this contract - they have to stick to it, or persuade you to take on a different contract! Talk to your union rep (if you have one). If not C.A.B should be able to point you in the right direction.

The crash was last Monday and left him with bad whip lash, which is what's initially stopped him from going abroad, although he now says he's still going.Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Morning! Just popped back on here for a coffee.
(((hugs))) to KYLE, MRS MIX, HILSTEP and anyone else who’s feeling under the weather today.
WELCOME – SAGARUS, HERBAHOLIC AND JUSTAMUM – missed most of yesterday’s thread so welcoming you today. Hope you enjoy it here!
AMIE – well done on giving blood!
STEFIJIB – enjoy buying ‘real’ clothes!
DANNAHAZ – I must admit my DH doesn’t know what’s going on most of the time; I reckon I could have a string of affairs and he wouldn’t suspect! As if I had the time or the energy!!
STRESSEDOUT – We have chairs like that and we have one particular emergency one that has to be reassembled when we have more than eight guests and, as I’m the lightest, I have to sit on it and I daren’t move! You wouldn’t think my DH makes the most wonderful bespoke furniture, would you?
SPIDDY – hadn’t thought about looking on eBay for essential oils – will look later. I’m just getting into aromatherapy and could do with a few more different ‘flavours’.
TRU – will look for the lavender baby oil – sounds lovely.
REVERIE – glad you had a good time!
DLB – aahh, bless the tattooed one! That made my laugh!
SCUZZ – I do hope things sort out for you. You seem to be going through it, don’t you?
Well, BM is on and washing machine just finished its second of three loads – drizzling here at the moment so won’t be hanging it out today. Need to go and post the two books I sold yesterday and a birthday card, more cards to post tomorrow! Then I’m going to go to the Co-op to buy some more flour, etc. for baking.
Dinner will be Tarragon Chicken , salad and new potatoes followed by strawberries and yoghurt. House will just get a quick swish and swipe today – despite having loads of visitors yesterday, it has stayed remarkably tidy (mainly because we spent most of the time in the garden) so not much to do then.
Then, after lunch – and maybe, an afternoon snooze, I will do some filing and then some ironing. I have dentist tomorrow – just a check-up (I hope!) which is in the next village and there are some good charity shops there so might have a mooch around while I’m there.
We still haven’t booked our ferry to France – we never know until the last minute what day to book it so we’ll have to decide within the next couple of days.
DH noticed yesterday that my car tax had run out at the end of April – I hadn’t noticed but then realised that I had not been sent a reminder! Anyway, I was able to tax it online so can still drive the car until the disc arrives, because it will show up on the police computer if I get stopped!
Well, this was only going to be a quick post and I’ve rambled on again! I’m looking forward to a long relaxed evening tonight watching the Chelsea Flower Show at 8.00 and Paul Merton in China at 9.00. I love anything to do with China – don’t know why, I’ve never been, but I think life there sounds so different to ours here that I find it really interesting learning about the country.
Anyway, definitely going now – put the next load of washing in and get ready to go out. Will pop in again later. Hope you all have a lovely day!
