The Daily for Monday 21st May 2007

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread
after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning everyone

I'm buzzing at the moment, and while I have slept during the night think I overdid the caffeine yesterday - had a tin of Pepsi and two ProPlus late in the afternoon. I wonder if I'll be half as awake at midday, lol.

Not sure why I started the thread, life is the same old same old, nothing exciting to report at all. In fact, I've been so lazy there's nothing boring to report either.

Have a fab Monday everyone.

Hi SNOWY, Hi YELLOWMONKEY and all who follow or post while I am typing this!

Up early even though I was late going to bed - at least I slept all night which makes a change. TWINK's lavender tip is really working!

Today will be paperwork day - again - and ironing day -again! Was invaded by visitors yesterday so the best-laid plans disappeared out of the window and I'll be playing catch-up for the rest of the day. Also need to make some more cakes - the load I made on Saturday have nearly gone, and another loaf of bread is needed so will get the BM on in a minute!

Sold two books in total yesterday and have listed four items on eBay so hoping for a few more pennies soon!

Can't tell what the weather is going to do today -hopefully, it will be nice and sunny for everyone!

Well, I hope to be able to spend more time on here today - once DH has left for work and I have some peace and quiet. Will drop in again later!

    Have a great Monday, everyone!

    Morning All

Snowy - hope you can control the buzz!!!

I'm feeling confused today. It's still unclear as to whether or not bf will be going to America. He was in a car crash which led to doctors saying he couldn't go, but yesterday he said he still is. It hit me really hard and I almost started crying. I've not seen him since Friday. (We've been together 3 months is this normal?) I don't know where I stand and I'm too scared to bring up the subject. I've never felt this way about anyone before, but I know if I say that, it'll probably scare him

At work yet again. These early mornings are really starting to wear me down. I have asked yet again to come off this shift - my contract states I start work at 10am, and yet they don't seem interested!!!!

Feeling pretty low today over all

Hope everyone's feeling better than me

Good morning Snowy, yellowmonkey and mioliere,

Thankyou you to everyone for all your wishes ref my dd, shes still fast asleep and although she seems fine now, i think im going to keep her off school for today. im still feeling shattered i suppose it takes a while to catch back up if youve missed a nights sleep and as you know im not a good sleeper anyway. im suppossed to be giving blood tomorrow. so that will make me even more tired !!!!! i dont want to cancel as i had to do that a few weeks ago when my mum was ill. oohhh just a thought.. do you think it will make me lighter on the scales after ? !!!!!!! i feel very strongly about giving blood as my fil was so ill with cancer last year as you know, and he had to be given so much blood, that i feel i need to give some back, so ive nagged my friend to come with me and do the same ( i have a fear of needles as well ) !!!!!

it is now pouring with rain as im typing this !! when will this weather stop ?

oohh cant wait for Eastenders and Corrie tonight

going to re-list all the food in the freezer today as it seems to have got in a bit of a pickle. Also want to try to make some flapjacks, going to try and find a recipee later, thought i would add some cherries and almonds and call them "bakewellflaps" what do you think?

Forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer last night, so im going to mr Ts to get one today as i fancy a roast today with yummy veggies and yorkie puds !!

well all have a great monday, hugs to anyone poorley or fed up
    LOraine x x x x

Hi JANIEDOLL - it's simple really! Buy yourself some lavender essential oil - make sure the bottle says 'essential' - it will come in a small dark brown glass bottle. TWINK recommends Tisserand Oils. The way I use it is to put three or four drops on to some tissue, have a whiff when you first get into bed, then put the tissue under your pillow. I usually take ages to get to sleep and then wake up on and off through the night and find I have to get up at about 4.00 onwards, but the lavender oil helps me go to sleep more quickly and stay asleep for longer! It took a couple of nights to get into a routine but I am definitely feeling the benefit now. Keep the oil and tissue handy because, once you're in bed, you won't want to get out again to go hunting for it! Expect to pay between £3.00 and £6.00 per bottle which sounds a lot, but you only need a few drops a night, so the bottle will last ages - it's worth it! Good luck and sleep well!

    Good morning everyone,

kyle - ((HUGS)) hope the little op goes ok for you x

scuzz - ((HUGS)), i think it sounds perfectly normal, hope you BF is ok after the crash, and i do think the best thing would be to sit down and have a chat, at least that way you know one way or another. xxx

Amie - glad DD feeling better, think its a good idea to keep her off for an extra day, shes had quite a trauma!!!

moiliere - well done on the sales.

((HUGS)) to the non sleepers (know that one here!!) and extra ((HUGS)) to anyone else who wants/needs one.

Not much planned today, have 3 LOs here, so should be interesting. Im hoping to clean the kitchen, as per flylady, but with the new one, not sure if/when i will get chance. Planning on walking to school this morning, now the weather is improving, getting back to the healthy stuff (and it saves my etrol, so helathy and moneysaving all in one) = the LOs like it really, so thats ok, although not sure about the new one yet, will find out later!!!

Right, im going to do my clicks and finish my cuppa before they all arrive.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning all

Sorry some of us are feeling under the weather today, so :grouphug: to them and all others in need.

Saturday was rained off, so spent all day decluttering and making HM Indian curry (which took 4 hours to cook)

Lovely day yesterday, so spent all morning down the allotment, and the afternoon here in the garden. It looks lovely, but some of my muscles are a bit fragile :rotfl:

Off to work today, so chicken casserole in the slow cooker for later.

Amie, am I the only one who thinks baby Freddie isn't in the house (Corrie)

Have a good day everyone x
