Hi there!
Seems like this cold bug is going about. Have it myself and the majority of the children are sniffly, and groany.
Have schooling to do, though due to most of us feeling a bit under the weather, I shall read to them this morning.
(Just stopped the Rotty from barking at the postman lol)
It's a roast tonight, so shall be seeing to that this afternoon. Shall cook some cakes as well.
Need to get on with some knitting. Got stuck into a book over the last few days, so knitting got put aside lol. Also need to work on some cross stitch as well.
Want to go through some recipe books (I have tons) like to look through them for inspiration lol.
Tonight, I think for me is a quiet night. No rushing out somewhere. DH has a mens bible study to go to. I think I shall "just chill" :-)
Everyone have a blessed and prosperous day.
Hugs to you all.0 -
Hellooooo everyone :hello:
Sorry I haven't posted on the daily thread for a while.............don't tell me, you hadn't noticed, had you??? :rotfl:
I'm one of those people who sleeps for 3 hours then wakes up at 2am  I went to Boots with my Pigsback vouchers to stock up on soap etc. I wanted some baby oil, they had the Johnson's lavender baby oil on offer so I bought some. AMAZING, it knocked me out for the night on thursday, I thought it might be coincidence but it's worked every night since :T
Not much to do here, just a bit of ironing and one load of washing. I have some new card designs so I'm going to make a list of shops and make up some new samples (my old ones have got a bit tatty) and traipse round the shops on friday.Bulletproof0 -
Good Morning All
Still got my headache, hope it improves.
Just a quick one, as Im running late
so apologies if Ive maissed anyone out, I will catch up later
Amie - well done for giving blood, Its something I wouldn't be able to face/do
Snowy - hope you soon come down from the Buzz of Caffeine
Scuzz - I hope you get things sorted out with BF. It is best to ask him where you stand in the future, try not to put too much sentimental words in, as - like you say - that might scare him off.
You need to know, otherwise, it'll send you mad with not knowing!
Kyle - hope you feel better soon!
Twink - Ive just about finished my bottle of essential lavender oil, where do you buy your brand from? Thanks - I read your later post and found where you get it from!
Mrs-mix - sorry to hear your'e not feeling better.
Right I'd best be off.
Catch you later

Morning everyone
Sounds like a lot of people feeling down or poorly this morning((hugs)) to SnowyOwl, scuzz, janiedoll, kyle, hilstep2000 and Amie's DD, plus anyone else who needs one.
Yellowmonkey, what sort of sauce do you have on your tuna pasta? We usually use pesto or HM cheese sauce on ours here, but I know you can get the sachets of a tomato-ey sort of sauce too can't you?
Mioliere, I want to come and live in your house, you are always making cakes
I'm glad to report the cakes I made for DS1's school fair at the weekend all sold and were admired for being wrapped up all 'posh' so thanks everyone who helped.
Amie, good luck with the giving blood, you should feel proud of yourself :T
And talking of essential oils, I bought a load from an Ebay shop which were half the price of tisserand and all the genuine article, so have a look there.
Got a full day planned today. Off to Lidl once we are all up and dressed as they have lots of kids things today (hoping for a deal on nappies as they are often reduced when the baby things are in), then to a friend's for a playdate. Home for lunch, clean kitchen as per flylady while DS2 naps, then going to visit a neighbour who has a new babyMight make the cakes for DS1's birthday if I get time and get them in the freezer.
Out tonight doing my Bodypump class  - it's only the third time I've been but I swear I can see results alreadyThat man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest. Henry David Thoreau0 -
Morning everyone and thank you to everyone who made me feel so welcome yesterday
Slept a little better last night but the flooping 'time of the month' otherwise known as 'Banshee Syndrome' in our house hit late afternoon yesterday, (why does it always take me by surprise!). Good job I planned a lazy day yesterday lol! Did go for a walk yesterday with hubby but had another panic attack so that outing was curtailed (sp?) brief explanation I've been suffering from agrophobia and been trying to 'get over it' started to get out a little now, but if it's too busy or crowded/noisy I panic and start crying and want to go home, like a 3 year old
Hubby 'surprised' me this weekend he knows how much I love gardening and herbs so he's bought a pair of tickets to go to gardeners world in June :j butbecause I'm not sure I can handle it and may ruin his good intentions, I know he's trying to help and wants to give me a treat but I feel more than a bit pressured, if I don't go I waste money and I'll feel bad because of that and for giving in, but I don't know I could cope int he crowds!
Anyway back to the everyday stuff, WM is almost finished so will get that pegged out soon, then have some work to do (I work from home, pay is crap but at least I'm my own boss), a little light housework then may have an hour to myself before hubby gets home either knitting, cross stitching or I may play on the playstation (only chance I get without DSS or hubby taking over!) Need to get the BM on soon though or there will be no breakfast toast tomorrow and I have a few herbs to put in the garden (why can I go out in the garden and I'm fine but further than the gate and I go into melt down!?!)
Breakfast was a banana and an apple, lunch probs a tuna salad sandwich and tea is easy night fish, chips & peas :j
Hope all the poorly peeps get better soon, hugs to all those that need them and hope everyone has a good day, ohhh and thanks for listening/reading my wibble

Good morning
Another day at work, still it's half term next week and I've got 2 whole days off :j I haven't had any time off work for 5 months - so I'm really looking forward to itAlso I'm having my new table and chairs delivered, so we can start inviting people round for dinner again (before it was a bit of a Russian roulette, depending on what chair you sat on, whether it broke and you ended up on the floor :rotfl: ).
DH has also got 2 days off, so including the bank holiday we won't have to pay any childcare fees :T . Sorry to any childminders out there(Catowen springs to mind) but it cripples me paying the fees. Note to self: work out how much I should pay over the year and save a monthly amount in separate account - then I won't have to worry
Anyway, dinner tonight will be tacos for DH and I, and chicken, pasta and tomato sauce for DD.
I have a mound of ironing to do, so will do that later tonight.
Have a great day everyoneSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning All
Snowy - hope you can control the buzz!!!
I'm feeling confused today. It's still unclear as to whether or not bf will be going to America. He was in a car crash which led to doctors saying he couldn't go, but yesterday he said he still is. It hit me really hard and I almost started crying. I've not seen him since Friday. (We've been together 3 months is this normal?) I don't know where I stand and I'm too scared to bring up the subject. I've never felt this way about anyone before, but I know if I say that, it'll probably scare him
At work yet again. These early mornings are really starting to wear me down. I have asked yet again to come off this shift - my contract states I start work at 10am, and yet they don't seem interested!!!!
Feeling pretty low today over all
Hope everyone's feeling better than me
SCUZZ - (((((((((DOUBLE WRAP-AROUND HUGS)))))))))))))
BF - When was the crash? Was he hurt? Is he okay??
BF - ASK HIM!! Remember, he's in this relationship as well. He should have volunteered the information - but you know how boys are!
WORK - They gave you this contract - they have to stick to it, or persuade you to take on a different contract! Talk to your union rep (if you have one). If not C.A.B should be able to point you in the right direction.

Morning All!
Moliere well done on all your sales!
<<scuzz>>
<<twink>>poor you *shudder*. Hope it goes well. Well, as well as it can.
<<mrs_mix>><<crazychik>>
<<hilstep>>Think about taking up a hobby - and don't wait until your sojn has gone to Uni to do it. . If you don't have anything in mind, try a few things and see if anything gets you hooked.
Just unpacked from an Ocado delivery. They sent me some personalised money off vouchers - items I usually buy, for a change, and also a £10 off voucher, so I "saved" £18 in total.
Got a few errands to run today, which is good as I can slip in a visit to the Gym at the same time. Moliere I really don't think my husband has a clue. If he were a she, then he would have guessed, or would have been suspicious and followed me or something. I think I should explain that a couple of years ago I lost 3 stone, and I had lost about 2 and a half stone before he noticed. (I think even then he only said something because I was complaining that he hadn't noticed). I also organised a surprise 40th and 50th for him, and he didn't have a clue, despite some friends saying "see you tonight" on the day.
I'm going to see if I can get some different blades for the ceiling fan in the bedroom, in the hope that the change of colour makes it less scary for the cat.
Dinner tonight is lamb chops. We'll probably have dauphinoise potatoes, and I also have some leftover carrot & swede, and some red cabbage.
Off to get started on my do list, will pop bacxk later and catch up
xxxxx

Hazel, forgot to let you know. I copied your post about the cat/fan incident and sent it to my sister. She has two cats and she loved it!! We both spent the day with a 'cartoon cat' in our heads! :rotfl:
