Lancome At Boots

Hi,
just collected my order from my local Boots, I asked them to open it as I as aware of the free gift not beiing in lots of peoples orders. Yes as you've guessed just an empty lancome gift bag!
The lady who was serving me went to the Lancome counter to see if there were any gifts there but there was nothing, the store manager told her to phone boots.com who said they will put 300 points on my advantage card, I said I was not too happy with this and the store manager said they could refund the cost of the lancome item I bought or I could get a mascara from the lancome counter. I chose to have the lancome item from boots.com for free and the money was refunded onto my card. Incidentally I did pay through paypal so am wondering if I should have sorted it out via paypal? Still I suppose I should be happy with the extra points and the free item but I really wanted the mini items for a present for my friend.
Hope others get this issue resolved. I did think it was a very good offer to get over £70 worth of freebies with one skincare item!

I don't know what to do... After speaking to Boots via the phone I e-mailed their customer services on Friday... have had no response from them. Am really peeved with it all... I suppose I will have to call them again tomorrow. Fuming!

I bought 3 things and should have got 3 gifts, I got the makeup remover but that's it! So I'm missing the skincare set and the temperley bag! Have emailed them, so waiting for an answer now

Just called them to explain it happened to me too. Looks like no one ended up with the gift....

The girl I spoke with said they would call around the middle of next week with an update/resolution... apparently they have had lots of calls about this

I too received an empty Lancome carrier bag in place of the free gifts so rung CS and they said there had been an error and the freebies were being sent out later this week to people.

Fingers crossed we'll actually get them then!!

Has anyone been contacted from Boots customer services yet? I've still heard nothing. Not sure what to expect really because some have had points and got to keep the product whilst others have been promised the gift bag next week?
I'm not holding out much hope for the free gift now tbh....I thought it was too good to be true.

Icalled them yesterday & was asked, did i recieve an empty bag, which i did, & was told this happened to everyone & this is being dealt with & should here some time this week of a solution, but customer service didnt know what the solution would be, they have had lots of calls on the situation & their are talks on the problem why just empty bags were sent out without the goods when there should have been £70 odd of free gifts in them too.....so im still waiting to here too, if not the lancome product will be going back

Well they told me they would be in touch by the middle of the week. It is now Thursday which is the end of the week. I was told they were sending them out from the warehouse. We shall see.
