Help buyer demanding partial refund and threating to neg if i dont give it

Too be honest, I dis-agree. 99% chance Ebay will side with the buyer, and tell him to send it back for a full refund. Ebay do not read buyer / seller messages. I am very sure the original poster will write back and say Ebay sided with the buyer. I do not think Ebay read messages exchanges between buyer and seller. The seller only has a chance of winning this if he phones (not e-mails or uses useless Live chat) and gets onto someone in Dublin who will actually read the messages Otherwise Ebay will side with the buyer.
An Ebay rep told me they NEVER read messages for claims. But many on here say they do - so don't know which is true.0 -

It's basically automated.
Buyer raises case - wait 10 days - buyer told to send it back for a refund.
Unless you can get someone at Ebay to read the listing, and buyer / seller messages then that is how the case will go 99% of the time I think, as it's virtually impossible for a seller to win an Ebay case, as Ebay will almost always side with the buyer.0 -
It's quite clear under the new system where sending a message results in an open case, that all the messages form part of the case, and this was reiterated in the seller update informing us of the changes.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. The messages need to be READ, and therein lies the problem.
I have never seen any evidence other than Ebay basically operate a flow chart which involves the buyer being told to send the item back, tracked, for a full refund.
I simply don't think Ebay have enough employees - and even fewer capable employee with common sense and the authority to make decisions - to manually go through messages and come to a correct decision.
If they do, the seller should win. I hope they do win. The buyer sounds like a nightmare.
I strongly suspect the buyer will be told after 10 days to send it back.0 -
bxboard , although ebay do not pry into peoples emails, when you inform them that the wording contained in the emails received breaks the messaging/forwarding service rules as it contained things that were insults , the sender of the emails used threatening language and demanding the refund, and seven resorted to typing something was even typed about the sellers mother and father (?) what has that to do with gold plated jewelley? And the buyers put in writing that they promised to abuse the seller by feedback extortion .
Ebay customer services will ask you to copy the email into the LIVE chat window, showing them the wording that is illegal, they examine it and take action, and agree it breaks the rules of the message forwarding system the seller gets a warning and the transcript can be kept .
I know this as a seller sent me abusive messages that contained angst and the person was obviously an unhappy human, because the item I bought from her/him was too small , so I resold it the same week, my auction sold for £10 more than it cost me, they were obviously a watcher, and he/she decided to attack me verbally, which I ignored and reported and let ebay deal with them.
If people ignore emails and just log off from ebay then the world would be a happier place!NB...People online who are here asking advice for "my friend" they really mean "myself" :eek:0 -

Click on "report buyer", block them, and then get onto eBay to have the feedback removed.0

yeah I agree, you should have logged out when I told you to LOL ,,never enter into any correspondence, ever hear of that phrase? Please just ignore anything these people send, it isnt real, it is only texts on a screen, and 1 negative feedback and life won't actually end I got a feedback maliciously too, it happens, all you can do is ignore it, and anyway, you can just open another ebay account and start again (private family use, just put your spouses name in to register a new ebay account ,ebay dont bother as long as its not being used to shillbid !)NB...People online who are here asking advice for "my friend" they really mean "myself" :eek:0

OP you may wish to edit your last (and earlier) posts as it identifies your ebay account ID.They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

FWIW, if I saw feedback like that on a seller's account I'd assume the person leaving it was a looney.0
