Help buyer demanding partial refund and threating to neg if i dont give it

I can see why you'd want to reply - but given the 'deadline' is so close now you might as well wait now & see what happens.
At the end of the day, he's still got to return it to you to get his refund. I don't think the credit card company will refund him because the card has been used for a Paypal payment (unless anyone knows otherwise?).
You have enough ammunition with his messages to get any negative feedback removed by Ebay.0 -
When someone tries to claim their money back through the credit card for whatever reason, the Credit Card company have to investigate, they will do this by first going to Paypal. Paypal in turn will contact you and you are then into Paypal's process, e.g. upload proof of posting or tracking, etc.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. This sound very much like the person that brought costume jewellery from me few months back.
But my advice to you is stick your ground, even if he opens a case saying not as discribed,i cant see how he will win as you stated it wasnt gold,so with showing ebay that, and his message stating his wife broke the item he doesn't have a leg to stand on.Also dont worry too much about feedback as down the line you should be able to get it removed as he has threatened you with negative feedback. Also personally i would get in first and report him as a buyer for being threatening and abusive.People like that shouldnt be able to get away with being such bullies.I know its easier said than done but try not to let him stress you out!0 -

I would report like i said,go to sold page and in the drop down menu at the end of the line for each sale there is a report buyer.0

Can you link to your original ad or post the copy so we can ascertain how much of a numpty this guy really is?0

I'd copy and paste his message asking for partial feedback into the case. eBay deal with feedback extortion pretty firmly.
You can also reference you're messages informing the customer that it wasn't gold, and the lines in your description. It should be resolved in your favour.
If you really feel worried you can always call eBay on 0800 358 6551, they're usually pretty helpful.0 -
You're clearly dealing with a complete bully. That's quite intimidating! One thing's for sure, there would be no point in trying to have a sensible dialogue with him - seems like that is what he wants, to draw you into an argument so he can be even more aggresive.
Now he's opened a case you can only wait for the item back & take it from there.0
