Mine was meant to be a next day delivery on the 03.05 and today I was told they they have 'allowed' another 7 days for its delivery, and if I don't receive it by then it will be canceled. They refunded the delivery charge, I just hope that's all they'll be refunding (well, apart from the £15 voucher) and it will arrive soon.
Surprised to see they've quoted you the 31st, it seems they are just picking dated from a hat.0 -
As I said before, I ordered one a week ago, it is still awaiting supplier, I ordered another last Friday am and got it on Sat! No rhyme or reason to it. 1st one still says by 14th.02/05/201319:18Order received by our supplier02/05/201319:32Order to be packed at Our Supplier
I hope I get it as it theoretically is mine, and I am using SHMBO's one ;-)Registered Linux user #497422 :beer:0 -

Ordered 2 Nooks from Very on the 1st May for delivery on Friday 3rd
Checked website and delivery had been moved to 15th May but I wont hold my breath.
A work colleague ordered 2 on the 2nd May for them to be delivered tomorrow Friday 10th. She checked the status this afternoon and they had yet to be despatched
I live in Leeds and all local Argos, Curry's and Sainsburys are out of stock
I really hate ordering stuff and not receiving it on time.0 -
Sorry but I am really having problems putting a book onto the Nook. I've put Adobe Digital onto my laptop - no luck, I've put Kindle onto my laptop - still no luck and I've downloaded Calibre onto my laptop too and actually managed to get a book from Kindle to Calibre & converted but can not for the life of me work out how to get the book onto the Nook
Can anybody tell me how to get the book onto the Nook - baby steps though please (complete techno phobe here :rotfl:)

Well that was an eventful day! After finding out that PC World have pushed back delivery date to after 17th May and that they have already taken the money!!!! I decided to have a hunt for one elsewhere. Managed to reserve 2 ( one for me and one for OH) in Argos (different stores) and picked them up today so currently on charge and phoned PC world to tell them where they could stick their Nook! Thing is I questioned why they felt they could take my money before the item was even in stock and was told that the money had to be ring fenced ..... now I might be a bit dim here but I'm sure money should not be taken from me until the goods are dispatched or am I just being abit simple? well their loss. Now off to figure out how to work these machines0

if you look round the discount shops such as poundland, poundworld, home bargains etc ... then you can find this for a £1

Its not a perfect fit as it needs to be a little wider but its good enough IMO0 -
Do you have to download books to laptop or tablet , or can you download straight on to nook like you can with the kindle. Thanks:j0

You need to plug in the Nook into your laptop with the USB cable, open Adobe Digital and on the left handside of the screen you will see "NOOK"above "bookshelves" (I think that's where it is). Right-click onto your book and choose "copy to NOOK" (or transfer, can't remember!).0
