Mine is available to be collected from JL this morning. Don't fancy going their (40minsround trip) but I want it to be able to give my son as an early birthday pressie!!
I was impressed to learn the capabilities of them, and know it will be used for library books a lot.
Again, thanks everyone for posting their stock updates and the original offer. Lets just hope they are as good as they seem!!“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.”0 -
Ordered mine from Argos through Nectar eshops (double points) at 10.00pm Tues evening. It is being delivered today. Free delivery. :j0

FYI - i've just discovered that this offer will run until they've sold out of Nook stock. Sounds like a liquidation sale to me0

Just had an email from Sainsburys saying that the Nooks are back in stock. The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.0

I'm off to collect mine very soon, I was hoping to download books from free sites (out of copyright etc) using the web browser but I don't have a p.c and it seems the web browser function has been removed, not sure whether to just send it back, unable to root without a p.c either.MSE- The Glitchhikers guide to the galaxy0

Also, you can load books (pdf/epub) via a microSD card. So, you could buy a cheap microSD card, pop it into a smartphone, download books via your phone onto the card, then pop it into the Nook. Alternatively, newer Android phones can allow you to plug USB devices (e.g. card readers) easily. You can get SD card readers for iPhones/iPads but i don't know how well they let you save files to them. Technically; i can even plug a Nook directly into my phone too.
How were you planning on downloading books from free sites? What device would you use?0 -
Mine is out for delivery! Very excited.0

Ordered mine through Blackwells, and it seems they can't cope with the number of orders they've had so I might have to wait until next week for mine! Frustrating!0
