We ended up buying several, as we only wanted one for a birthday present but everywhere had stupid delivery estimates! Here's the breakdown on what we've found, if it helps anybody.
Sainsburys - we bought one here at £29.99, but it only includes a one year manufacturer's guarantee for repairs/engineering faults. No option to add on another one, apparently. Doesn't cover accidental damage either?
John Lewis - again, £29 here. We bought this one because people were raving at the two year guarantee that is included - but again, is just for faults! Doesn't cover accidental damage!
Currys - the first one we ordered! Ordered on 7th May, I think, and JUST delivered TODAY! Madness. We ordered the three year guarantee, so paid £39.99, but this guarantee covers faults AND accidental damage, so figured it was the best one?
What have other people found re guarantees and which works best? We're getting overwhelmed! lol!0 -

no offence, but do you have a warped idea of what a guarantee covers.
You paid for additional cover on top of the guarantee
The guarantee covers the unit for faults. not damage0 -
Can't believe I've missed this thread for so long! Been very lucky though and managed to pick one up instore at Sainsburys.
I've been resisting buying an e-reader for a while now but I've got an 8 hour coach trip coming up, so it will be much easier to take than loads of books!0 -

My OH was the same despite me telling her she would like them. The low price was an ideal opportunity
however given I have somehow ended up paying for hers and her mothers:eek:
I could have just bought hr a Kindle ages ago :mad:0 -
My Very order has been pushed back until 14th June!!
They were nice enough when informing me though. That was a credit to them and hope they honour the £15.
Lynsey0 -
There was a signup bonus floating about that gave £15 of a £25 spend on very. Quite a few of us took that offer up.Registered Linux user #497422 :beer:0

What £15 is that Lynsey? I ordered a Nook from Very on 9 May as it was the only place I found accepting orders at the time. After I had placed the order I was told that the last delivery date was 10 June which I wasn't impressed with but had to accept.. As it is now 7 June and there is a weekend in between I thought I would email to find out what was happening. Very have replied to say they won't investigate until after the 10th, i.e. they will only do something once they have failed. If they haven't managed to deliver it in the four weeks since I ordered I think it highly unlikely that they will deliver it over the weekend. Its annoying because I was in my local Argos last week which had them in stock.0

I get deliveries from Very on Saturdays and Sundays - so you may get it over the weekend. Fingers crossed for you.
I love my Nook:D0 -
I just logged into my Nook UK account and there is a section where you can register your Nook.
So can I do this online via my PC rather than having to bother about registering via the Nook itself?
If I do this, is it just a case of charging the Nook up and away I go?
Bump! Please does anyone know?Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0
