So whats the best thing to do in my shoes here, appeal softly letting the PPC know what theyve done wrong but briefly then send in a bigger and stronger appeal to POPLA or just wait and see if it goes to court. From what i can make out that POPLA is a bit of a fix.0

Soft appeal.
Then when you come bk here will help you out with popla appeal.
But don't worry you won't need to payProud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0 -
POPLA is no fix. Just have a look at the POPLA Decisions sticky thread. At the beginning, a few were lost as POPLA and forum helpers were finding their feet.
But look at HOW later ones were won. Ignore the last one where the motorist seemed to go off at a tangent and gave the PPC a victory.
You can see what pushed the POPLA "WIN" button, but like the game show says "You've got to be in it to win it".
But, having said that, there have been some great wins in court. This is everyone's favourite. http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=16231
But a soft appeal giving one point they can not wriggle out from, such as "I do not believe that you have a contract with then landowner that gives you the right to levy Parking Charges" will get you the POPLA code. But act within the timescale.0 -

POPLA is not a fix and you can win at that stage if you take advice. I suspect you've read the misleading 'grounds for appeal' and wrongly assumed that your case isn't worth appealing? Wrong:

Some info about how to win at POPLA, and it's not an appeal about 'what happened':

Come on, two emails/letters and it's cancelled. This bunch of chancers will not win at POPLA if you follow our advice. Why would you not bother with your one chance to get this cancelled?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Did you not go through popla route then ?When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I, for one, can't help you more, then, as I don't share your view on this and I feel a bit annoyed that we wasted so much time on your thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What in your opinion would have been the way to go coupon mad, in an earlier post you gave the two options of ignore or appeal and you put me onto someone else who has chosen to ignore, there are plenty of points to defend my case if it goes to court is there not so what would have been the point in appealing just to get it rejected anyways.0
