Hello all,
Can't believe today is the last full day of my hols, we go home tomorrow
Yesterday's spends - £3 on parking £11 on afternoon tea £12 on drinks £30 on meal out £15 on merchandise at gig and £6 at Mr Ts on picnic bits. Spent a lot more than planned but it was sooooo cold we kept sheltering indoors.
Think I'm going to go over budget after all though Hubby has said he's paying for the meal out tonight as an early birthday treat - probably as he know I'd opt for tea in to save a few pounds ha ha!0 -
Hi everyone
Rushes in quickly as off out in a few minutes.
On holiday at home this week, didn't realize when I booked it that Monday was a bank holiday, otherwise I would have worked it just to get the BH supplement -
Everything fine but finding this not spending hard to cope with, but I know I can last out to the end of the month only buying milk if Im really careful, so that's my aim for the next few days, not that it makes much difference to the OD, but hey ho:(
Anyway off now, catch up with you all later when back in from free day out with DD3 and DGD2

I am a little scared. £12.50 a week.
Probably just a typo where your brain is still catching up with how well you've done! You meant Land loan right?!
Sorry to have been AWOL for a couple of day . . . SFD on Weds, and yesterday I had tickets to see the Flaming Lips 6Music session! It was sooo good, and very MSE as the tickets were free! But not SFD as I had to buy food while in London. Ah KarmaChi thank you - yes defo mean LAND Loan! Grr!
Very busy at work today hence not much contact from moi. Scored OT tomorrow for 12 hours on top of this busyiness - happy NSK. 8 hours OT on Sunday morning so a whopping 20 hours this weekend not including how many I will beg for on double time Monday..
More later peeps!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Hi all
Well I thought this month was going to be a total disaster but by doing a few extra hours at work and with some extreme cutting back I think its going to be OK. I havent been able to overpay the cards by as much as I would have liked this month though. And I cant believe there is still another week to go ...
I have done my June budget today and should be back on track. All I need now is my few ebay things to sell this weekend. I think I have already sold DS2s cricket boots for about the same as I bought them for - and he wore them for a whole season!
Oh and spiders - the dog catches them and eats them, problem solved!0 -
Yorkshirelass I am so glad the month is okay for you. And good on the doggy for keeping the spider count down. I echo your fear that there is a week to go. It's unreal - I feel this month has dragged a little but do you feel more in control. Not as fearful about there being so much left of the month?
I am down to £9 having bought milk today. Yet to update signature as today was an SFD as well! My work colleagues are having a little bit of a panic as pay-day is so far off but I actually feel in control. I don't seem to be in as much of panic as I know where all my money has gone and what I will do with what is coming in. Anyone else feel the same or is panic all round...?
Spoke to the student loan people today. They told me there was no point paying off the £62 that's left as it will charge my credit card ( - I am that desperate to get rid of it ) and they can't stop the next payment coming out of my wages - SO I asked when I would get a refund as they will end up taking £110 at least... the guy on the phone said he will issue an instant refund for me instead of me waiting three weeks....awwwwwwwww!:) So that will be a £38 that I am not expecting...hmmmmm what to do!!!
Right.. back to work tomorrow for a 12 hour shift.. am shattered so am off to bed...
Onwards and Upwards..“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Morning All,
Yesterday was a SFD, today won't be as have the osteopath and out tonight for food. But need to return some clothes so some money back to my account. Have a good day everyone.
Eh xx0 -
Morning all
Sorry I've not checked in over the week - just too busy at work. But I have been lurking and following what everyone's up to. I'm another one who cannot believe it's still another week until payday. The car is in for its service and MOT this morning, and I've only got £200 left to pay for it so please everyone keep everything crossed that it's not going to cost any more than that. Because if it does I'll have to go to the bank of mum and I really don't want to do that.
Budget prepped for June - shouldn't be as tight as May has been but I have got to pay car insurance in June.
Thankfully it's half term this week so a lovely week off, hopefully chilling and relaxing - and only 8 more weeks till the summer holidays (and the end of the crippling nursery fees I've been paying for the past 8 years).
Have a good weekend everyone.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Morning Chickadees - been up since 0400 and it's starting to show. Here at work until late late and more tomorrow. Looking forward to my Monday off (fingers crossed I am not needed but I did offer because I cannot not do anything about double bubble possibly being on offer... but if I am not needed I can rest assured I did my bit - make sense?)... but I will be sleeping all day Monday...
Food budget being cleaned up for what may be a very difficult June - looking forward to a little restriction and frugality...;-)
SFD planned for the day though...

Hello all.
Just checking in yesterday's spends. £2 on parking and £6 on drinks. Hubby treated us to a meal out last night. Think that puts me £10 under budget but will reread my posts when I get home and total up. Will be glad to see my old laptop, it's frustrating using my phone to post.0
