I may attempt another one on TCB using another easycash account, that would give me 4 in total (the limit).

    !

Well for those of us who quietly have the same idea lets hope they arent reading these posts and find a way of enforcing what both Quidco and TCB state across both Cashback Sites, sometimes it pays to wait to go public until after the outcome is known, is called staying under the raydar ;)

I applied yesterday via Quidco and also provide an account to be switched. I have not seen any tracking in this regard on my Quidco.

Hopefully others have the idea and can benefit from it.

I saw that term and took it to mean on Quidco. To my knowledge, they can't exclude you because you have had a claim on the other site.

Say you went to Quidco first.. they get their cut, and give you yours. You then go to TCB - would TCB be happy N/Wide won't pay because you'd gone to the other site first? If quidco/tcb claim nationwide won't pay us due to it being a 2nd c/b account, they won't (shouldn't!) get money either. Can't see either being happy with that scenario!

Santander ask you why you are opening accounts, maybe n/wide should do the same?

One of the Flex accounts could be your 'main' account. Another could be a 'bills' account (one option on the Santander dropdown), and a third and fourth could be a fresh account you want to make joint/a holiday 'savings' account/'car' account (saving for ins/tax etc, and they come directly out).

I've seen for myself that there are all sorts of weird and wonderful ways that customers genuinely do arrange their banking in! Just because somebody has 4 FlexDirect accounts that happened to be opened when there was an incentive it doesn't mean they're taking the mick. Somebody having one could be just as bad (maxing out the overdraft or putting £2,500 in and leaving it).

But it's not like they're selling toasters. These aren't even fee-paying accounts. They aren't making more profit out of you if you open more accounts.

It's not unusual for offers to be strictly introductory, new customers only. First Direct won't give you a switching incentive if you've had an account before, even if it was only an ISA that you closed years ago.

Nationwide's credit card offers used to be strictly once per lifetime - not just the cashback but the 0% BT. They've changed that now, so far as the 0% BT is concerned, you can try again after 12 months. Haven't heard whether you can get cashback again.

Bookies won't give you any introductory offer, including cashback, if you've ever had an account before, and they'll check you out every way they can.

Cashback sites are well aware of this. They know when the object is to recruit customers, not just to make "sales", and they know they haven't delivered any real value to the client in being used by a customer who's already had one bite of the cherry.

Risk is boasting on a Public Forum about planning on doing the same Cashback offer multiple times via different Cashback Sites when the merchant has clearly stated its intention to only want to pay Cashback once per person might mean that the merchant either tightens up or comes off Cashback Sites altogether after all these Banks/Building Societies have an apparent reasonable expectation that a customer only has 1 Bank account to switch from.

Nationwide Cashback Site offer is a new account application combined with a "switch" application incentive

Both Santander and Halifax have restrictions on how often "switch" applications with "incentives" can be done

For your info, Quidco and TCB dont take any cuts they pass on all the commision they receive to the member ;)

Banks of Scotland ask the purpose of applying for its Vantage Current Accounts, if someone answers for savings then strictly speaking offical B.O.S policy I was informed when I made 3rd application by phone is to direct the applicant to B.O.S Savings Accounts.

"I did a new one on tcb but forgot to say yes to switching!! So just done one on Quidco and switched one of my Halifax easycash accounts".... :D

If both track, hit the reply button and post back to tell everyone who reads/might read this thread. :D :rotfl:

I am not suggesting that more than 1 switch incentive wont get paid merely keeping some thiings quiet may prolong both a Cashback Site incentive rate and a Cashback Site incentive offer

is there a minimum amount of DD you need to switch to get the cashback? Didn't see this mention on T&C

The fact that a minimum amount isn't mentioned could be a hint?

I set up a small standing order on the account I was switching, just in case their switching service got confused when trying to switch an account with nothing on it. Otherwise, there is nothing in the T&Cs saying your old account needs anything to switch.

I have just done the same before setting up the transfer

I was actually looking to open the account anyway (For the interest) so the £70 is a nice bonus!

When will the tracking be shown on Quidco. I opened my 4th flex account on June 2th (my first application with Cash back), said accepted subject to few checks, but it has not been tracked yet ?

Is it the date when the ac officially approved, DD is switched or what ?

I normally has a good tracking record with Quidco.

    Thanks
