Thanks YorkshireBoy.
I've looked at your link. I see it explains the transfer process and says at the end under "Finish" "you transfer your balance and close your account". So presumably you are free to NOT close the old account if you don't want to and Nationwide will just have dealt with switching all the DDs etc?0 -

Oh sorry, thank you very much, I hadn't noticed that bit.
That's great news, will go ahead and make the application now.

I have a dormant account which I was going to nominate for the switch to get the Quidco offer. Does the account you're switching have to have active direct debits? I can't see any reference anywhere but as a dormant account, they'll basically come back with a blank list of payees/direct debits etc0

Well they've remembered to say that you can't have more than one £70. They can't remember everything."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -
Has anyone had their cashback yet? My application was tracked, account opened and transfer of D/D's completed (even received some interest which surprises me as this is my second Flex Direct account) but the estimated payment date on Quidco keeps changing (has changed several times from the initial 15th May:rotfl:, up until yesterday was the 1st June, now estimates the 16th June).
Thanks

My application was 17th April.
£70.00 Nationwide FlexDirect Current Account Confirmed on 29 May 13 :j0 -
I did this via TopCashBack (my 3rd FlexDirect account) and submitted a price match, so should get £70. The transaction was tracked, just waiting for confirmation now. These cashback things normally take a month or so to confirm and then a couple of months to pay out, but who knows.0

Confirmed on Quidco means Payable so an actual time scale for this Cashback offer from transaction date to transaction payable date with payment in next payment run can be seen by my earlier post.0 -
I have 1 FlexDirect already.
I did a new one on tcb but forgot to say yes to switching!! So just done one on Quidco and switched one of my Halifax easycash accounts....
I may attempt another one on TCB using another easycash account, that would give me 4 in total (the limit).
Amazed they've given me 2, not long ago they told me to jog on when I genuinely wanted another one!0
