I got a call today offering me sky+ free with 10% of for 3months which is pathetic as they offered me subscription half price for 6 months a few months ago.

Although this time she is saying no contract, told her to call later if there is no 12 month contract I will take it as the box is on blink anyway :)

    but lets wait and see

I can't wait to see how the engineer is going to fit it into my house, cos apparently the Sky+ box is over 4 meters wide!! - http://www1.sky.com/skyplus/docs/spec.html

Just phoned up and asked to upgrade to Sky+.
Was prepared and expecting to pay £130 (£99 for box plus £30 install) as i'm 8 months in to a 12 months contract.
Chap went through cost, and said he could do install for free. I didnt even have to push him or ask him. No idea why they wanted to give me a free install?!
Anyway - it's being installed next Saturday all for £99

I paid £49 for a new box a few weeks ago. have just checked my Sky account which now shows a £40 credit this month. No mention of this when I agreed to Sky+. Looks like I've had a new box for only £9.99 :D

phoned on friday saying i was thinking of cancelling subs as i didnt get time to watch the progs i wanted to. got put through to cancellations and they offered me free sky+box, 12 month g'tee, fitted free, so, its being fitted this thursday.

kept me chatting for ages though, but i was on the 015 number which didnt cost me anything, so its a small price to pay! :D

Haven't had any signal since last thursday. phoned sky on friday and was given an appointment for today between 12 and 6pm. Phoned sky a few minutes ago only to be told that the engineer should be with me by 7.30pm. What kind of freaking service is that?!

Called today to upgrade to Sky+ for my mum, 7 months into contract so was expecting to pay £99, woman quoted £99 for box and £30 for installation - she said that it had just been reduced from £60. Said that I saw the £99 price but wasn't prepared to pay installation fee she said it was the cheapest that she could do it. I said ok but no thanks, she then said goodbye

    No deal offered!!!

I have just had a thought! Shouldn't a new thread be started now that the original offer has passed? It helps to keep the forum info up to date.

Thought I should let you know.

I rang up to cancel my subscription last night and was offered Sky + for free, if I didn't want to pay £49 for a new box. He told me if I did pay the £49 then I'd be able to use Anytime TV - and I'd only be tied to another 12 month subscription for the Sky + part of the contract.

I said I'd think about it and get back to them.

I have rang up 3 times now and their best offer is £49 for me. Why will they offer it for free to one person and not to another? I don't get it. I have been with them 6 years now. It makes me feel like cancelling it all now!!!!
