    Hi guys,

I am moving into my new apartment on Friday, I have the BT line set up, i now would like to get Sky+ as cheaply as possible! Don't really want to pay £130 one off cost for it when I might only be living there a year - does anyone know a way to get it cheaper? I only want 2 mixes and the £5 a month broadband.

    Cheers

    Josh

Dont use the 0870 number for sky as it costs 8p a minute and they will keep you waiting for ages, best to use 01506 831781 (from saynoto0870 website ) and ask for cancellations and say you are thinking of moving to Virgin Media can they do a sky+ box for free with free installation as Virgin Media can do there V+ box for free .

I'm so angry!! I've been caught out - I phoned to cancel, saying I'd been offered a good deal with Virgin Media and they just cancelled it on the spot and said my subscription would end in 30 days. I really really really want Sky+ but didn't want to ask directly, and I don't want my Sky cancelled at all! Maybe if they don't want to keep me I'll just go to Virgin after all hmph.

You might be lucky and get a call back in about 14 days... However it has been said before that you shouldnt try that approach unless you are willing to be caught out. and the chance they might just cancel your subscription..

We have not had any proper sky for over 2 week now, partly due to the weather and also due to the sky dish facing a very big tree, called cust serv to get an engineer round to move it and they want £65:eek: . Said no way and asked to be put through to cancellations, had a polite whinge to them as we pay the full package and have done for the past 8 years. Result we have an engineer coming next Thurs to move the dish, install Sky + and Multi room for £49, very happy.:j :j :j

Been to Comet and Currys today, all they are offering atm is the same as Sky - £99 for the Sky+ box and £30 installation - rubbish I thought. Just checked Quidco who have just upped their cashback for Sky to a massive £85!! So this is by far the best offer, buy online and get £85 back, total cost of Sky+ £45 :)

I rang the 08703 360 150 number this afternoon (new customer) and quoted Sky+IAF, the advisor asked me what the offer was for and I told him free Sky+ and free installation. He said 'yes' and put it through for me.
He did ask the name and postcode of the friend who had Sky and that was that.
Told me it was a new Sky+ box and fitting would be a week today.
    Very pleased moneysaver
    Is this offer still available?
