    Hi

Just a quick query - I have sky+ and signed up for the movies deal (£1 a month for 3 months). I only got the deal to record all the sky movies then after 3 months cancel and still have lots of movies to watch. Only question is - will you still be able to watch the sky movies that are recorded on sky+ after the 3 month subscription ends? Only reason I ask is because it asks for a pin number everytime I go on the movies channels which I then have to type in!! Which is annoying!!

Also just a note to say if you have sky broadband and pay the full £17 a month until sky is in your area - double check because sky was in my area so I should have been on the reduced price but was still charged the £17 per month - check on their website to see if it is in your area yet - then check your bill!!

    Thanks in advance
  • When you cancel your Sky Movies subscription any Sky Movies saved on your Sky+ box will become un-viewable. Therefore you best watch them and/or archive them to a DVD/VHS recorder prior to cancelling your subscription.

    I DID IT!!!!!

I read all of your posts then thought I'd try and get sky+ free too.

I rang up and said I wanted to cancel. I was all polite lol. Said I just don't get time to watch the stuff I like as I work odd hours. She said have you thought about getting sky+? I said yes but at £99 I just can't afford it sorry. Straight away she said I can have a free sky+ box with free installation! They are coming next wednesday.

The box is supposed to be a refurbished one and only 20hrs of recording time but she said it comes with 12 months warranty. And anyway you never know he may give me a better box when he installs it. It's better than nothing lol. I'm well happy because I really wanted sky+ for ages but the cost put me off.

    Thanks for the tips.:T

When I got my faulty sky + replaced, they didnt have any of the 20hr ones and gave me a nice new pace 80 hrs one - yee haa., I doubt they will have the 20hrs ones. Good Luck though

Dont you mean a 40 hours one... the new ones are 160GB but sky takes 80 leaving 80 for you so 40 hours of recording for you and 40 for sky

I thought this offer had finished now. Which number did you ring? The one at the start of this thread? I am going to give it a go!

I just rang the normal cistomer service number the one that ends in 40 40 40. I went through to the bit where it asks you if you want to reduce your package then asked to be put through to cancel. They put me through and I was made the offer straight away!
