I too am moving into a new house next Friday.
I called Sky today to ask if I could have this offer, they said NO - it ended two days ago ??
I was offered the sky+ box at half price, but that was it.

I am also seriously considering having the see, speak and surf package, as this would seem to be the cheapest option for me. This didn't seem to cut much ice and no further offers were made to tempt me.

    Should I try again ?

    Cheers

    Horizon

A couple of questions which I hope someone might be able to help with:

I currently have Sky with a standard box. Am considering getting Multiroom.

If I get the Sky+ box, could I swap the standard Sky box and put it in a different room, and put the Sky+ box in it's place?

If I get Multiroom, I understand both boxes have to be connected to a phone line. As I don't have any other sockets in the house except the main one, would they put in a cable and/or an additional socket to connect the extra box - how much are they likely to charge for this (i.e. am I better to try and do this myself)

My OH is keen for Multiroom, which I am happy with, but I'd like the Sky+ box!!

use quidco to get £60 cash back for new customers. Or say to the person on the phone this and they might give this off.
    Kind Regards

We got multi room when we got sky+ installed they just moved the old box to the bedroom and put the new sky+ box in the living room

Not sure about the phone line as the one they plugged the multiroom box in doesn't work and all they said to us was you'll have to get that sorted out

When you get a sky+ box your tied into another 12 mth contract, I wasnt told this when I took it out and I did specifically ask as Im v cautious where sky are concerned!

Im so annoyed, I tried to cancel but was told if I do so Id have to pay £10 month for sky plus until my 12mths are up!? Why, when they no longer charge for sky + subscription?

You pay the £10 for the recording facility.. When your 12 months are up and you cancel your package you would still have to pay the £10 in order to record anything..

I would consider it as better as they are the brand new PVR3 units with double size drive & 'Anytime' compatible unlike the refurbs, they are the old PVR2 units...
