been with sky about 13 years,just tried to get sky+ told no offers,then put through to cancellations used cant see programmes as bb is on tv,missing loads of tv lad eventually asked his manager came back with free refurb box to be fitted tuesday,many thanks to OP

VM Dont really have excellent channels either, but they could take the telewest channels off sky if they wanted to (Bravo, Dicovery H+H/Living etc. and a few otther rubbish channels)

don`t forget the "free" box offer has now ended, so if you treaten to cancel and they offer you something it`s better to take it, as if you cancell and then go back later on, you might get nothing, and other offers won`t apply to you.

Whooooo i had mine fitted today and its was supposed to be a free refurb +box but no i got a brand new one, well worth my time sticking to my guns on t he phine for a free one...

the sky chap that installed it did happen to mention that sky have run out of refurbs and sending new ones out instead :-)

Decided to ring yesterday - quoted my friends name and address and sure enough got free Sky + box and installation - absolutely chuffed as was ready to go on line and pay for both!

Will be fitted on Saturday too....can/t wait !

First offer might be over, But i recieved yet another Come back to sky letter just after the other one expired on 1st June. On this one the offer ends 22 June.

I get the feeling that i'll recieve another letter offering Free Sky+ once this one expires.

Just had my refurb sky+ box fitted by very nice man, but sadly the remote sensor is not working, so although I have sky+. I have to get off the sofa to actually record anything! :rotfl: He was very helpful though and said that he would ring me later to let me know when he would be back with another box, I asked nicely if he had any new ones rather than another refurb - so fingers crossed it could work out a better offer than I had thought! :T :T Many Thanks again OP

Be careful when threating to cancel. I got offered £3.50 off top package, free sky+, free sky talk unlimited and credit for broadband activation fee. Said I wanted to think about it and asked for details to be saved. When I rang back no details were saved. I found out that these are point of call offers and may not be available later. All I got offered was the sky +. Cancelled after that. When I called again all offers had gone:mad:

Waited two weeks - now got new sky+ at £49.99 PVR 3 and the waived broadband fee only. Skytalk no longer available

Have learnt a valuable lesson
