FREE SKy+ and installation + no monthly charge

I got the same deal as pinky8
wanted to get in quick - I can see a rush of people wanting to "cancel" sky over the next few weeks...

I telephoned CS and asked to be transferred to cancellations, as I wanted to leave Sky. I said I would like Sky+, but it was too expensive. I was transferred to cancellations. When I said why I wanted to leave Sky, I was offered a Sky+ box for £49, free installation and no charge for Sky+. I asked if this was for a new box or refurb, and was told it was for a brand new box. I decided not to press her further and accepted her kind offer. She told me they would waive the £10 monthly charge, and I decided not to tell her I knew it was being dropped in July.

My son has been driving me mad to get Sky+ for ages, and OH has kept saying it is not worth it. As it is only £49, OH said yes.

Hi, just tried the cancellation trick, but ihave Sky Broadband! So, as Im still in contract for that, they wouldnt budge

I called the number above (01506 831781)and said I wanted to cancel. I was then passed through to the cancellation department.

I was put me on hold. He came back a couple of minutes later and said that he was aware that sky plus was free from July 1st but they were not mean't to mention it to subscribers yet? I then said again that I would like to cancel.
He said Ok, I will put the 30 days notice on your account. I then quickly piped up with If Sky plus is free in July why can you not credit my account with £15 which will cover the cost of sky plus payments for me for the time untill July? He put me on hold and then said Ok this is fine All of it for Free and they are going to move my sky dish as it is in the wrong place!

I phone to cancel sky last month and it was due to finist completely next Saturday - had a phone call today am now getting Sky + installation and equipment free with no monthly charge for Sky+, £25 credit to my Sky account and 10% discount on my normal Sky package (£21 per month) for the next 3 months. Didnt have to take out a new 12 month contract just got to stay for the next 3 months. Getting it installed on Saturday

ohh, i was really hoping for this; to get the box free and instatllation, will have to hold out until 1st July then.

Anyone else here with any info. if you have sky broadband?

Fantastic deal, so Sky are giving you a free Sky+ Box, Free installation, and you havn't got to pay them a penny?

Good to see you predominantly all getting offered it. Yes its a refurb but it's got a 12month warranty, there's no sky+ specific subscription charge and there's no instalation fee.
Been waiting a while for this. Oh well, 2 yrs time and Sky HD will be on the same offer just about the same time as I'm due a new big screen HD tv!
