And I see thrifty Lesley is another old styler! I remember her on Weezl's thread too as she lives near me and recommended some local places to get bargains. All things lead back to this board!

Just home had a quick look through and I'm happy with it. Looks like lots of new recipes with some blog favourites. I will definitely be cooking some of the recipes soon. The `not meatballs` recipe first I think!January grocery challenge £0/£300

I like the look of it too. Interesting recipes and no fancy ingredients. I hate recipes where you have to buy loads of different things that just end up gathering dust in the cupboard after you've used one tablespoon for the recipe.0

It was £6.50 at my local S's today, although I'll give it a miss for now because I've just bought a couple of books (and I'm more into baking right now).
I love her, I think she's great, hope she continues to do well :T0 -
I love Jack's blog, have been following it from the start, and am a huge fan of hers. My book was delivered today and I'm about to go off to bed and have a browse through it. I find Jack very charismatic and would love to see her present a thrifty cookery tv show. I'm appalled at the negative comments she is bombarded with on her blog and in the press, it seems sometimes that anyone who tries to make a success of their life is easy prey for the haters. Rant over!0

What are the other blogs you're thinking of Pauline - I'm always on the lookout for new ideas.

There's also the skint foodie blog if you've not come across that one before, which is worth a look at.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Totally love Jack. She is an inspiration, a really strong woman and a breath of fresh air.
