I particularly enjoyed her open letter to George Osborne.

Tried her mushroom chasseur the night before last and it's really tasty, even DH cleared his plate without too much moaning (he's a real carnivore and likes his meat & 2 veg, LOL).

Wasn't enough for 4 adult portions but would do 2 adults and 2 little ones. We're having the leftover chasseur over jacket potatoes tonight.

I've just found this thread and been reading her blog all afternoon (sorry boss!) and im inspired :D
I've done my food shop for next week and it came to a total of £20.60 but then i added a £3 click and collect because the way i see it i would spend a lot more than £3 if i actually went into the shop :o
I added fresh herbs to that as all mine are still growing and not ready to harvest which bumped the price up and i've also added chicken thighs and a turkey leg to the order as my OH is a carnivor through and through and the only way to trial this is if i have atleast a couple of meals with meat in them. I've just remembered they are on lates next week so will have a chance to try this out without the moaning but will still keep the meat in :T
    Menu plan as follows -
Monday – Turkey curry with apricots and coriander naan (I added the naan bread)
Tuesday – Carrot, cumin and kidney bean burger with salad
Wednesday – Gigantes Plaki (Butterbean Mediterranean stew!)
Thursday – Spring piggy with chicken thighs (use one chicken thigh and freeze remaining!)
Friday – OMG dinner – See A Girl Called Jack for recipe
I've also brought value bread rolls and value ham for lunches and im very fortunate to have an excellent store cupboard full. If i can get away with feeding myself breakfast, lunch and dinners for next week for £20 I will be so happy ... and relieved because I'm so skint right now :o
    Ant.
