I just googled for a soda bread recipe & Jacks recipe was the second hit on google, so I looked around her website.
Looks brilliant, , I'm a low carber (mostly), but I think she has plenty of recipes without pots/pasta/rice/noodles/bread.

    Looking forward to the book.
  • I follow her blog and she is very inspirational.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

Jack Monroe has a new column in the guardian with recipes for £1 a head:

This week its a beetroot, feta and lentil salad recipe:

  • I think Jack is awesome and I love her recipes. I'm on a budget and her ideas really help me eat well within a budget. I really recommend her lentil daal, chickpea and apricot curry and I've adapted a couple of her recipes to make my own Veggie non Carne with lentils, baked beans and kidney beans. Her blog is good for discovering what savers foods are good - who knew Saiunsbury's 22p pittas were so nice :money:
  • I've been following Jack's blog for a while and I agree he recipes are fab! She's also very helpful if you ask her a question on Twitter.
Her carrot, cumin and kidney bean burgers/falafels are lovely, and so is her pasta, peas n cheese! Mmmm!
the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j

I'm really looking forward to jack Monroe's cook book. Tempted to preorder off amazon to get the lowest price between today & launch date. Usually when I preorder from amazon the book people launch it cheaper.
I've never actually made one of her recipes, but they temp me. She is heAvily into veggie dishes & I try to low carb.

If you've got a waitrose card she has some recipes in their free mag this month & the hAiry bikers have a diet recipe in their instore weekend paper.

I've already pre-ordered it, can't wait! I like that she still posts recipes on her blog and hasn't removed any others. Veggie food, generally speaking, is much cheaper and it's so nice to see recipes that are nutritious and cheap.

I love her carrot, coriander and kidney bean burgers, so tasty. I make them smaller and have them on pitta bread with mango chutney and tomato for work lunches.

I'll have to look out for them. I avoid pots, pasta, rice, noodles, bread (😣) & cereals, but I love lentils & beans.

Im not going to buy it as I can get all the recipes I need online, but I do know she has a link on her page where you can order her book cheaper than from amazon, its from an independent shop.
