I have nowhere said that DLW shouldn't post, just asking WHY?...

I have asked myself this question.

I cannot exclude the possibility that DLW is in fact a bored intern at Conservative Party Central Office who is simply having a bit of a laugh as they hope to spread the idea that your typical Labour Party activist is a complete and utter idiot.

The individuals that receive the increased pay will no doubt have to pay higher prices for goods, service and local taxes negating much of any advantage.

I wouldn't disagree with that myself. Althought the report seems to believe that employers will simply 'absorb' the increased costs.

When was the 2013 General Election? I must have missed it.

Labour's lead over the Tories in the opinion polls seems to have fallen from being consistently around 12-15% pts to being around 7-8% pts over the course of a few weeks.

I guess all those savvy, social media connected types have realised that the Tories are starting to deliver on the economy and Labour have consistently failed to produce any policies.

    Oh dear.
Labours reduced lead is a lot more to with all the thatcher hype of late rather than the economy which is still pretty much flat.

A bit like the cheque is in the post.......

Why are you lecturing me, Thrugelmir? I know all this, I know history, and I've lived in a couple of countries where there was no right to free speech.

I still do not understand why DLW spends so much energy on a board where, when I posted last night, there were 4 people viewing, and at the moment, 11. The comments to her post were that what she was saying were lies and misinformation.

I myself follow YouGov so know that Generali was correct in saying that the lead is now bouncing around 8/9 points.

I have nowhere said that DLW shouldn't post, just asking WHY? What does she get out of it, and using my right of free speech to tell her that she's a nasty piece of work, always giving out this misinformation.

So, lecture on, but as they say in Parliament - I'll take no lectures from you. So patronising.

    I didn't realise it was a she:silenced:

I'm unsure. Style (the "faux" chatty, bulletin style) seems female to me - but, on the other hand - s/he doesn't seem to know where to buy cheap beans.

Perhaps s/he would let us know?

I reckon DLW is an iPhone app which copies the rantings of lunatics on twitter and reposts them here.

yes, theres a lot of expert opinion that says news hype influences wear off in days, but core voter sentiment sticks! Back in double figures for labour this coming week? People will have had time to digest the living wage plan The crisis of low and stagnating pay is starting to make voters feel anxious especially as in-work poverty has risen by 20% ( 6.1 million living in low-income households.) Voters know the number of low wage, low skill jobs is expected to grow and they worry about their kids future.
