Sorry guys, cant afford to get exorbitant petrol to drive to the cheapest store to hunt down the best bargain kidney beans.... only choice is Shanks's Pony to the nearest in walking distance... the Co-Op! Now if there was a Living Wage....

Get a bike with a little trailer? Think of the exercise you'll get, as well as what you will save on groceries!

Co-op in our town they are only 67p. As always talking out your !!!!.

All a living wage will do is push up the cost of everything as has happened with the minimum wage and thus most people won't be better off.

As for everyone earning the average wage, that's impossible as will just push the average up.

I can cook a really nice chilli using local beef, high qualities veg and indgreidents for about 4 pounds. That'll do four meals who can't spend a 1 on a meal.

Funny how the world turns around.

Maggie incentivised people to get off their !!!!!! to better themselves.

Whereas Gordon encouraged people to sit on their !!!!!! and spoon fed them welfare instead.

Now we get the whining and moaning as its too much effort to save and manage money properly!

Or get a job that pays a bit better.

When I was young and couldn't always earn what I wanted from my day job I used to get a bar job in the evenings a couple of nights a week. There are pretty much always weekend shifts available.

My BiL still works a bar job on the weekends to make ends meet.
  • Canny voters with access to social media won't be caught out by this. They will recognise that Labour aren't actually committing to this as a policy and that it will never be implemented because Labour spent 13 years in power during which their key policy was not to introduce a living wage because their rich mates in business didn't want them to - instead they introduced a low minimum wage but bribed voters with tax credits and housing benefit.

Canny voters remember that Ed Milliband was a minister in that government...

So..... Labour's 2010 Vote Share is up..... looks like theyre not buying that! As I thoiught! (no point in arguing, study carried out last night! :) )

Also, only 18% of movers and shakers think Cons will win! Labour's Living Wage Plan will save our economy money and they will now see that as well.

Canny voters won't listen to you or the rigged polls, they are getting their information from MySpace and Bebo so they can't be fooled by your right wing proclamations any more.

... apparently a huge blunder was made when they suggested tinned kidney beans as an ingredient (they cost at least 75p per tin!!! ...

May I join in the chorus of derision regarding this remark. Not only is it the most stupid thing that DecentLivingWage has said so far (and that's going some) it's doubly stupid, because 10 seconds on Google would have produced the correct answer.
...What planet are these toffs on?

From the sound of things, I think we call it 'Earth'. It's what planet that you're on that intrigues us all.:rotfl:

Err no, "Labour's 2010 Vote Share" is the same as it allways was. Or are your planning to rewrite history? :)
