Definitely something weird going on with the pricing. That's a shame....and just in time for this deal appearing in the weekly MSE email!

Perhaps the £49 is a glitch and the price will come down again? Fingers-crossed.

MSE Debs has updated the info she added to the opening post, advising that a system error is to blame for the price going back up to £49 today and it should apparently be back down to £35 tomorrow. Yay!

Thank you so much for this - I went to IKEA at the weekend to buy their £49 sewing machine (but Thurrock had no stock - some nonsense about discovering a 'quality fault' which made them withdraw their stock), so this is a God-send. I'll look forward to making all my trousers the right length!
