    Morning,
Well it looks like it is going to be a lovely day today....sunny

I am really annoyed but mostly upset, last night hubby and I went out for a meal and whilst having a nice walk around town my heel went down a little hole in a manhole cover and the leather has ripped big time..... thing is I only take a size one she and have to buy my 'grown up' shoes from limited places and these ones cost me £93...... there is a bit gauged (sp) out and the leather has lifted....thought that I might be able to smooth the leather back and glue it but there is like a hole there and the bit of leather is not there so can't do that......any ideas????

Hoovered all through yesterday and cleaned the bathroom but didn't get round to changing our bed so must do that today.

    Must dash
    Love and hugs

    Good morning everyone

A lovely sunny morning here which I hope will inspire me to continue some decorating. DH is fast asleep so I can't start yet - I've been pottering for an hour, normally he wakes at 4.30 and then every hour. I keep popping and checking, like I used to with the babies because the doctor changed him medication yesterday. Hopefully it's just a coincidence.

smokey I loved the poem about 'mother', will pass that on to my teenaged children, especially the 14 year old!

jcr thanks for the pilaf idea, that will do nicely for tea

jet good luck choosing a dog. I was brought up with dogs and miss them so much. I look after other peoples sometimes but this only seems to convince DH that he hates dogs even more. His mothers influence unfortunately - she hated all pets.

emmy that is so annoying. could you smooth and stick back what you can an colour the missing bit in with a permanent marked pen, no goood for best but they could still be used perhaps

Cup final - yey!! a couple of hours peace and quiet with no questions to answer:j
Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me

Good morning everybody and hugs to all. :j Well, Mr Rage is in Glosgow seeing The Waterboys this weekend so that means I get to do what I want! Hurrah! I can't think of anything apart from popping out for some bread and saspairella and I will be very lazy and use my bus pass (although I prefer to think of it as getting value for money;) ). I intend to curl up and watch some good films on the telly. Actually I need to go out in the hope that I will see our lovely neighbours. The house on the end of our road (detached) is falling down and the other night there was a fire. We thought the old lady was still living there but it turns out that she's decamped to the local hotel. Still it was worrying for a while. Anyway, awful bloke next door starts going on at the top of his voice (whilst all the other neighbours are saying they hoped she wasn't in there) that the place's a health hazard and he's ringing the Council to complain about it and threaten legal action and we should all do the same. The other week he told us that he'd "offered to take it off her hands". I bet he had - nice 1930s, 3-bed, detached, structurally sound in a high price area:rotfl: . Anyway, last night we were talking to the owner of the hotel who Mr Rage knows through his driving and she's sold the place and has already got a nice bungalow to move into (she's got money so I think she's bought the bungalow first although how nice it will be in 5 years time is a moot point). She's been busy clearing stuff from it apparently and it was some of the stuff she was sorting out that had been set on fire. The neighbour also heard kids in the back garden before the fire but didn't do anything - apart from saying in front of the fireman that he hoped they'd burnt - I pointed out to him that he probably didn't get chance to say that often what with his job being a senior school teacher:D . From how the hotel man was talkng about him yesterday I think the family think they're well liked - ha ha ha. Anyway, to be quite honest and I know this sounds childish, I can't wait to just let this info slip out casually with the comment "Oh, I thought you knew";) . When he was talking about her originally (and how they were friendly with her) I knew he was "bigging up" as she doesn't like being called by her first name and everyone who's friendly with her calls her by her middle name. I wonder how the new owner will react when he sees that they've half-inched some of the garden to build the extension on, ripping up the boundary hedge in the process to make it look like the boundary's further over than it is. Can't wait for that one. :D I really should go to the post office today but the queue will be huge so I think I'll go to the one near work instead. I know I'm making a mexican bake for myself fo dinner but lunch is still a mystery - I may treat myself to a Greggs pastie - mmmm pastie Also looking on DVC today to see the price of the yellow geranium they are launching - it it's not too dear I may go mad :D

    Have a nice day y'all.
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Good morning everyone,

    Happy birthday to Mr GB

Queenie - well done to your DS, thats the trophy my DS won last week, so OS is obviously good for the football players out there!!!

PP - hope you get your essay finished, and hope you are ok after your fall, steps can be lethal, hope they will be sorted soon xx

((HUGS)) to anyone who wants/needs one xxxx

Got up earlier today, next door seem to have been buying musical instruments, and evey now and again we are getting strange drumming noises coming through, hope they arnt planning on doing this every weekend at 8!!!
My mum is due here around 10, so im about to get in the shower and get the children moving so we are ready for when they get here.
DS has football training at 12, so he will have a snack at 11, then a light lunch after, otherwise no one will want any dinner later - his coaches didnt pick the best time for training, think i might complain when we get there (they dont like them to eat before training, in case it makes them sick). Mum will prob go for a shifty round the charity shops whilst we do the football, will see what DD wants to do, she may prefer to go with my mum than stand around in a muddy field.
Not sure what else will be happening, mums boyfriend often likes a pint at our local pub on a Saturday afternoon, so maybe we will go there!!! (i only go when they are down).
    Ok, better get moving,
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh, just had a letter saying ive won our local primary school some trees!!! I know its not something for me, but its still a good win!!!
