    It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
    Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
    If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
    If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
    If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

    Well , for anyone interested we have stripped 3 rooms and blanked them , put basic but clean and new flooring in toilet and bathroom and really trimmed back the garden , painted garage doors etc , photos are now updated on RM for those who know the link

    Have a viewer later this week and had on this sunday just gone , so will see how it goes before deciding on next move

    Hi All
    For anyone interested , we today received a proceedable offer (well it was actually yesterday but they came around this morning to do some measuring up) of 310k

    It`s a bit daunting because these people have just sold to a property company their 5 bed house , for a fixed priced of 500k , which to us is just a different world , but anyway , it means the chain is very short , apparently very secure to get going and now we ust have to find our place , thankfully the house we liked back in March is stillon the market and were visiting again tomorrow....

    For anyone who remembers , we are LU7 , ending in grove , bungalow.....we did do lots of hard work chopping the garden , stripping walls etc etc , maybe it made the difference maybe not , we may never know!
